Part of the problem is them STILL formatting dialogue playing during gameplay sections, where you're likely only paying half attention at best. For an expansion that's supposed to be the set up for the next few years, it's doing a pretty poor job at just setting up some basics and not being confusing.

The "legendary campaign" was weirdly easy.

This entire thing is exactly how Diablo 4 went and fucked everything up in first few seasons. Blizzard thought they were being clever giving some big reason to the lead up to 100 with bosses, certain uniques coming off things etc but the big trap of it was you were wasting time caring so much about the inefficient stuff and more importantly crap loot that would be replaced, so you were always better off just grinding very select Nightmare Dungeons and taking an occasional World Boss if one was active getting to 100 and going from there. I'm doing exactly that right now, except i'm starting right at the beginning being rezzed in mother russia. I had the advantage of never having created a Hunter or Titan back in 2014. The grind those first 100 days killed the game for me and i think i might have played another 10 hours of it until D2 launched. Point being it's KINO. i find it difficult to put my thoughts into words, but you're pretty close to how i feel about the game at this point. i ran every piece of content, though skipped on contest raids since VoG, did contest dungeons up until sundered doctrine, which i dropped out of after being stuck on the 2nd encounter for 4 hours, just wasn't having fun. ever since shadowkeep, it felt like the game's quality just got worse and worse in small areas, but after the final shape's campaign ended, everything about the game fucking nosedived off a cliff, loot felt like shit, a weird insistence on not having craftable weapons, still refusing to just increase vault space to 1000 and leaving it at that, exploration felt like shit, constant bugs that take forever to get fixed, raids have been mediocre since vow of the disciple, with some encounters being downright dogshit, they removed any sort of fun in raid difficulty by making master raids just be complete retardism dogshit to play, champions still being forced into everything, and even with abilities being able to stun now, they still feel like shit to play against and are overall annoying and feel super artifical as a form of difficulty.

It’s ok anon I get and feel you, there is a lot of weird design choices that for some larger utilitarian approach don’t necessarily make much sense. People just did master for the seal/title and Bungie never really incentivized larger reason to run things through or to put bigger meaning there. You get contradictory things that feed on randoms saying “erm WoW gets new soft resets when new raids drop, Diablo had seasonal wipes” and it’s like yeah but with WoW most people spend time with the new thing for a fair bit of time and there’s always appeal of playing alts to dip into expanding upon taste of the situation, similar ideals with Diablo, the wipe is a push to literally run something new, explore everything that’s physically out there, Destiny doesn’t really get much of that.

It’s why I kinda am mixed with this tiering shit and how everything’s pitched. Not because I can’t find something I’ll use and like in 6 months time it’s just it puts a ton of pressure when so much isn’t just a passive stat stick. If you don’t like the sandbox and what Bungie’s pushing you to go for, it’s more felt for the piloting of your character. Featured Exotics sure act as middle ground for the “current season bonus” it just makes people try to force things they might not want to bother with especially if the things suck. Any loot dropped in 2nd halves of DLC inherently get screwed the most sure you got the T5 but at what efficacy

They probably shifted to more instanced areas like the Dreadnought and Titan's "return" because they kept stashing seasonal content in patrol spaces, but people kept finding it. The Hawkmoon mission area was still accessible in TFS, which led a few people to believe it would be reprised at some point during the year.
The EDZ is filled with places like that. The Vexcalibur mission entrance is still there, just with some rocks in front of it to prevent normal access. There's a blighted area hidden behind some trees that confounded secret chasers for ages. Hawkmoon's mission areas are largely accessible, which had some people thinking it'd get reprised this last year. The groves from Pissops are there.

I don’t necessarily have an issue of Encore dumping out stuff in concept they said there would be these sort of featured things and all that listed as giving extra shit but I think it’s more reflective how ass-y the rest of the game still is with things and trying to have cake eat it too if “we’re showering you like an ARPG now”. And even if we do the math that we now know and you could pull drops in like 13-15 mins run, dupes happen, and those moments where you should’ve gotten a upgrade but the game gave you static drop of your current on level can happen so there’s room for error, it’s still a long ass time of mind numbing repetition . Also you figure cranking it for the 200-300 climb and then 400 and then they said final leg is gonna be select shit, that’s still not insignificant time to pack away especially as harder difficulty=longer clear usually. I think what brings bugs me is now we also have old shit like raid and dungeons completely divorced from the ecosystem so now certain things are extra pointless and at such restriction. 3x100 is possible. More if you're wiling to use slots on Font mods.
With 2.0 pieces most players already have lying around, 3x100 is likely only possible unless you were farming armor during Rot9, or are willing for one of those 100s to be in Health, the least useful stat. It's technically possible if you have some cracked rolls to hit 1x200+2x100 without fonts.
It is not possible to hit 2x200, but 2x150 seems doable if you're willing to dump 2~3 stats, or grind out for T5 armor.

I'm still mad about everything to do with The Witness. They built up the Pyramids and those creepy veiled statues for so long that it was actually a cool mysterious. They really felt ominous and directly connected to Darkness.

Instead Bungie just shrugged and said "yeah it's just this dorky Megamind guy what do you want me to say". They flushed a decade worth of anticipation and world building down the drain because the game needed a final boss. And they were too retarded to even make The Veil interesting.

Now sure not everyone is trying to grind to the end and all that, but obviously the appeal in these games is run challenging shit for the better stuff but you gotta be higher level to get there. So if you value your life you do the more efficient thing, more efficient thing is such a narrow choice that your big buffet of pick your own difficulty flavor activity falls apart because you don’t wanna fart around for 24 mins for 4 drops when you’re only using for their power level when you could get 7 in 15. This is highlighted more when content pre Edge feels borderline squatted in terms of rotator reward source and so forth

Yes. Warframe content is often derided for being too "easy", but thats intentional; it allows much more of the weapons/abilities in the game to be viable, and thats means new players can get up to speed quickly while also having a variety ways of playing. If you have grinding content in a game, you have to make easy enough to be mindless while still being engaging. Destiny is the opposite, with a narrowly defined meta that gets reshuffled constantly, interfacing with content that is never casual and never deterministic in its outcome.

This shit has always been the bane of destiny, a looter shooter that's stingy with loot. They add so much RNG to items as if it's PoE or D4 that shower you with loot during and at the end of any activity, but the drop rates in destiny are like 1-2 items every 10-15 minutes.

My friends want me to play this game because apparently a bunch of stuff is free now. We used to play Destiny 1 back in high school and I loved it but I lost interest when they started moving to Destiny 2 because I felt like it was bullshit to have to buy a game I basically already owned and they could have just kept adding expansions to D1.
