I just finished SF which I'm making my final ending after beating like 30 of them across 13 routes. There was some retarded shit in there ( "oh no, they came down with a clone of shion!" But it wasn't as bad as I expecting and I thought it was pretty cathartic after seeing all the shitty timelines this cast has been in. Also as a Darumifag I like that her death is actually given some weight when they go back to the CoA timeline. I feel like she's glossed over in everything I've played that isn't Second Scenario, I only got two endings on this route so maybe I'm missing some of the more stupid stuff.. Only thing I really hated was how Eva was treated but aside from that I liked it. I actually came out liking Hiruko more than I have for the whole game. I get what people mean when they say that everyone else feels like side characters but that's kind of expected when you focus on a character or two. The problem is nobody else besides maybe Darumi (through Retsnom) gets that treatment so I can see why it'd peeve people. Excited for DLC

I’m glad you came out liking her more in SF as I came out liking her less (and I’m guessing we both got the same 2 endings).

I just didn’t like how she treated Takumi at all considering everything they’ve both gone through and remember both routes and she’s mean for no reason. Her and Takumi both sure weren’t acting like they both remembered how Slasher ended with them and the kiss (until Hiruko brings it up at the end). But I guess maybe she isn’t for me since some people into femdom preferred the whole her bossing Takumi around thing. I just wanted them to be partners figuring this whole thing out together but she kept pushing the slave shit and it was really annoying.

I was hoping we’d get to know her a lot more like a Retsnom with her being more vulnerable but it looks like all her vulnerable scenes were before the story lock and in KG. Well there is that one scene where she had a dream she doesn’t make it but I wanted a lot more like that. (Ah and Slasher revisited was nice)

I mentioned before that I wish she’d just been forward with her feelings about Takumi at the beginning after the lock in SF and then I would’ve been fine with everything else being the same after but someone else did have a convincing interpretation for why not. That she would want to wait until after breaking the loop and knowing that it won’t slip away will she be able to be honest with Takumi which I can see that.

Yeah I didn't even think of that. One of my criticisms was that you could tell Uchikoshi was writing half her dialogue with one hand. I just liked that we got to see a side of her that isn't either a jobber or trying too hard to be mysterious.After my first couple routes (like 4-5) I had her with Nozomi in "I like you but not as much as the story wants me to" but after ruminating on Retsnom, SS, and Rebellion I ended up liking Nozomi a lot less so Hiruko's like a notch ahead by default. Other than that my character rankings haven't changed at all and Darumi's still best girl.
For my endings, I got All 17 of Us and Revenge of Kako-G. I assume the shit with glowing Nozomi I keep hearing about happens in an ending I didn't do? .

So the loop was started by Takumi going back in time, meaning Hiruko in route 0 wasn't looping yet. Takumi also didnt loop in 2nd scenario (the ending, not the branch, as he knew Shion's name). So did Hiruko perhaps attempt a time travel of her own with Shion's power in one of the 46 endings we didn't see, or was she maybe pulled into the loop with Takumi because of her Special Redo, like a magnet?

It feels complicated because the situation reads like Kodaka and Uchikoshi were hardly ever on the same page, but;
There are implications in 1st Scenario that, in hindsight, Hiruko HAS looped before, due to her insistence on being the leader when she mentions such a thing is out of her character later and stating with confidence that, to her, true victory can only be achieved when everybody makes it out alive, which is weird for a Hiruko who's doing all this for the first time and is as she depicts herself in the book to say. And, y'know, the "I have a terrible secret I should share with you guys if you really want to fight" thing. There's as many reasonable writing explanations that she's not looping as there are that she is looping, so it's a pain.

For 2nd Scenario, though, it gets weirder. Besides her staunch belief in Takumi that feels almost unwarranted and the non-linear nature of her looping that can even make her contradict her own experiences, she seems pretty new to this whole thing. EXCEPT, when Turamtammi attacks the second time, and in the school days illusion she says, for no discernible reason, something along the lines of "No, this is familiar, we've done this before, what the Hell is this?" Which just gets swept under the fucking rug, and there are too many questions to ask about the illusion already, but it stuck with me.

for some reason, the devs decided to have retsnom be the only route tied to saving last/Darumi. i don't know why, the Kill Eito decision has 4-5 routes, so saving Darumi should've had 3-5 routes as well instead of one. This is interesting question. I didn't finish a lot of routes yet but from what I've seen D'ahlxia can TANK Shion unlike V'ehxness who absorbed a few of he comrades. But SDU called her stronger (in the route where she absorbed her comrades) and she took his postion while he was imprisoned somehow (though I don't know if she won him in the fair fight or used some dirty tricks). So basically it should be V'ehxness who absorbed cryptoglobin > Dahl'xia > route 0 V'ehxness
Also I wonder if D'ahlxia was affected by Takumi's burst of cryptoglobin when he came back.
