A lot of people, much like Dorothy in this scene, are mistaking Red Hood’s influences on how Rapi developed as a person as rapi still trying to mimic Red Hood. The reality is that Rapi has *conceptual* similarities to Red Hood but her style of deadpan, direct humor is very distinct in terms of execution.

That’s what bothers Dorothy until this conversation, she thinks it’s a cheap inaccurate knockoff when the reality is that this is who Rapi is when she’s letting herself be herself. Red Hood was not only Rapi’s mentor, she was also the first person to make Rapi feel something in years, the first person to truly make her cry and feel grief. Of course that will impact how she grew as a person.

But people are dumbing it down to RH 2.0 when that isn’t the case at all, and I appreciate the writers using this scene to debunk the idea while also acting as a very engaging and important conversation between characters. Rapi is Rapi, and nobody else. End of story.
