So when sword is too good, downplaying is natural, because they recognize that the deck is honest but they can't divorce that from it being strong or broken.
Sword downplay is eternal like Shadow upplay, Haven victim complex, Dragon retardation, Rune psychopathy, Forest autism, and Blood cooming.
