I just hunted about 12 g rank glavenuses and got zero powders. It's 33% chance per shiny and I picked up multiple shines per hunt. I've hunted 51 hellblades and gotten 3 powders total.

Shiny drops are still the worst things in this game. Trade an opportunity to punish the monster, or an opportunity to heal just to pick up something that takes 5 business days to complete the animation for. Then you have to make that decision quickly because it disappears in like 5 minutes

So Azahar is the most popular 3ds emulator atm. And you need to manually change the config file to re-enable the citra online rooms(picrel). Same thing for 3U as well.
The cheats/texture packs should be the same between the old citra package and azahar. I followed a youtube guide for the settings and that guide was for citra so the settings are mostly similar from what I remember.

Im not even sure that's how it actually works, I've seen people get picked up by the bird and dodge 1-shots and other crazy hits, but in the webm the dude gets chipped both dives even with the bird grabbing him. I did it sub 2 solo with an opening that's fairly simple to get going compared to some of the others I've seen. Even copying this very poorly and carting would probably still get you the A. The favoritism stems from the fact that most people in japan opt for cats instead of dogs as pets so they're very common. As for kelbi there are areas in japan where deer are easily accessible. Like nara park you can straight up walk up to them and pet them as well as feed them crackers. They're very accustomed to humans and will even get pushy if you don't feed them when they want it. So obviously they don't want kids playing monhun and harming common animals in japan. For crabs, bears, etc they probably don't care because they either eat those animals regularly or your own self preservation instinct should be enough to stop you from doing it

Yeah I don't get them often, but I get really ticked off when I do get them. I've had 2 (including this one) in the past 30 days.
The other was when I responded to an AT-Velkhana SOS. After carting once the host decided that he'd go on a tour of the elders recess. I didn't even notice at first because I tend to dissociate a little in that hunt since I like Velkhana a lot so I was super confused when the monster sprinted two zones away for seemingly no reason. Both I and the other sos responder left so he was alone to do his shenanigans.
But yeah, these 100% freeloaders aren't that common, just very frustrating to come across.

I've played most weapons and I've played 3U, 4U and I little bit of GU (I am not fond of GU).
My breaks from MH aren't really about fatigue its about waiting for games to be complete. I started doing it since World. I stopped playing 3U and 4U in 2021 (it started involuntarily but I chose not to replace my 3DS) and didnt buy World or Rise until 2023 once I new they had the majority, if not all, content added to the game. I'll now do the same for Wilds. It'll be maybe two and a half years until the game is near completion? I'll buy it then and have heaps of fun. Still have a few things I gotta mess around with in Rise during the next week or two though.

If it's a rampage with 2 areas don't set up a ton of stuff in the first area because they'll break the gate and pass that area anyway. Set up 90% of your stuff in the second area. Also use your installments because just summoning somebody like fugen can delete several monsters at once instantly. Be smart with where you place stuff like the dragon lasers. Put those near the gate so they constantly damage whoever is attacking the gate so you don't have to babysit the gate as much. Put your own bombs near bamboo bomb installments so the explosion hits even harder. Put the dragon bait thing near the dragonators and then activate the dragonator when like 2-3 monsters get close. Also try and complete the list of objectives on the screen. Not only does it give you better rewards I believe but it also just gives you something to be striving for at every second so you're not lost trying to figure out what to do. Also ride monsters as much as possible because you can deal with boss monsters fairly easily when riding. Don't be afraid to move installments around either. If you don't know you can remove and installment and put it somewhere else. Try not to fight with your weapon unless you've activated the counter signal or it activated on its own because otherwise your weapon attacks won't deal a ton of damage. You can still repel monsters without the signal but it'll be harder and you might get overwhelmed. Ultimately just use the tools you have access to. I didn't even touch on rampage exclusive items you can craft by picking up shinies. Just test stuff out and have fun. Don't linger on monsters that's not what the mode is about. Do quick burst damage and then move on.
