The way she should've worked:

-Build charge with a bar instead of on enemies. During the visual effects you often don't see the accumulation on the enemy, and unlike Anomaly where it pops automatically, it doesn't for SAnby. You should be able to detonate the charge around you once you have enough.

-Provide overcharge. The fact you can't get past 3 thunders for build up is absolutely awful. Technically you can detonate just one once in a while, but that's equally awful.

-A more stable less auto moving attack string similar to how normal Anby works.

I generally would've designed her entire kit with Anby's normal form as a base and gave the animations and attacks more weight and aoe. So you'd also have a similar idea of an attack string, but can easier chain into it via dodge counter / assists, as well as can detonate your charge faster once you reach a certain part of it.
Vanilla Anby's normal kit has a nice flow, it's just too slow for more aggro enemies, too energy starved, too little AOE and not very compatible with dodging to begin with. Fixing that would provide a very fun, satisfying experience, that screams "Anby mk2".

Basically she deals aftershock from off field every few seconds. She automatically use 60 energy from off field to use her ex special. Both of which increases her special meter, apply some buffs to the team (damage% and def shred) and of course deals some damage.
You need to swap her on field to use her meter to use a laser beam that gets stronger the longer you press the key, so she kinda has an element of burst character in her kit too.
