I beat Mega Man 7 yesterday
The final boss can go fuck itself. Both phases. The first one is annoying because when it shoots out the two skulls there's a good chance you'll be hit by them and enough times you may be forced to use an energy tank too early into the second phase which is garbage.

Just beat Mega Man 8. Need to sleep on it but what in the world was that shit? That was awful. What happened? The first couple stages were fine and then it just took a nosedive in quality.
No E tanks? Removing Rush's abilities and adapters for a bike and rng Eddie items???? So many questionable design choices. And all the gimmicky nonsense in the stages. Some of them I didn't mind but ugh the Wily Castles stages were half of that trash.
I also think MM7 looked better than this, or to compare it with another PSX title, X4 looked a lot more beautiful.

At least the music was pretty good. And I will give it to them, getting a game over and restarting at the second half of the stage was a good choice. But I don't think I'll ever go back to this one. Onto MM9 probably tomorrow I guess

I'm actually playing on the GBA version lol. There's some moments where it sucks that you can't tell if there's spikes above you or below you before you make a leap of faith but other then that it's fine.
But yeah I can tell this game is gonna be a lot harder with Mega Man, feels more like it was designed with Bass in mind

Bass is mainly for stages over robot masters and Mega Man is robot masters over stages. The problem is that most of the game(s) is/are centered over stages in general and playing the GBA version, the extra jump will make those jumps be far less risky.
