Find out the cheat codes you can put in on Tailsโ computer. They let you replay just the final level or skip item hunting all over again. The only bosses you can replay with this are Speedy and the Boss Kukku
Learn how to do the underwater mazes online or youโll waste a lot of time aimlessly looking around. Also I reccomend getting the electric weapon on the left of the first stage to make underwater sections easier
Experiment with which weapons you like. I found itโs super easy to cheese the last two bosses with the Triple Bomb, for example, but itโs much more fun to beat them only with Tailsโ electric spindash. But you do lose lots of health this way
Something the game does not tell you: on like 3 levels there is no ending/exit. You just have to walk back to the start and exit back the way you came. You might be confused as I was otherwise.

Another hint: the levels with no ends are the Mountain where you have to wear the Night Vision Goggles (just walk down to the bottom again and let yourself fall down the chasm. Tails doesnโt die from falls thatโs how you exit) and the forest with the wasps. The one where you fly a long way underground to get the high speed motor, there you can just jump down the chasm at the end and thatโs how you exit.
Thereโs a funny item that lets Tails punch the birds to death, youโll find it in a 2nd route in Speedyโs level. Itโs good for the Wasp level for punching the small birds
