Mage tower was available from 7.2 to 7.3.5 and then it was closed.
Obviously the guys who cleared in 7.2 have WAY more cred. but they were not at any point free.
I learned to play half dozen new specs Id never done in order to get those skins before they were gone. I set up alts to create all the consumable I needed, I learned the mechanics and Figured out how to counter them with each classes kit, I didnt that all on the clock with the limited windows the tower was open.

It was effort and experience and the skins are tokens of that effort and experience and some fag who walks in 12 years later and does a trivialized version of it with a wildly more powerful spec should not get the same reward.
