Trigger m0 is shit. M1 with ball is where she starts to be fine.
Not the only char like this mind you, but she's definitely part of this "m0 is garbage" group. <35% damage isn't worth anything, while her stun speed is pretty bad on top, especially if you run her without her additional ability.
M1 raises that <35% to <55% and offers better stun speed by shortening her attack intervals by a whopping 33%. Her ball gives you the much needed crit-rate to max out her daze if you have the additional ability triggered and 25% def down.

At this point you've already missed all of the meta characters anyway. Assuming you don't have any of them and started today, your best hope would be a Yuzuha, Alice team with Lucy. Or you could wait until Seed and Orpheus come out and get that pair who will almost certainly work together.
But if you're smart you'd pick up the Miyabi rerun who on her own can clear nearly anything that isn't ice resistant.

Nearly all characters M1 are basically 15% personal or team boost damage increases. M2's are usually quality of life improvements.
With weapons no characters need their sig. There are I think 2 characters I can think of that get a substantial damage increase with their signatures. That is 1, Miyabi who gets a 30% increase over the next best weapon and Evelyn who is the same.
Now you will get retards who tell you that you need the sig weapon because it makes them easier to build. That is true but only to a small extent.
Take Ju Fufu. Her sig wengine makes it far easier to hit her 3400 attack maximum that gives a bigger crit damage buff for the team.
However if you hit 3200 attack which is very easy without her weapon, your DPS does 5% less damage than if you hit the 3400 limit. You also lose a lot of daze with her sig.
Sigs make the characters slightly easier to build because they often give the characters the exact stats they need.
But they are no means required. I hit 3400 atk without fufu's weapon just by farming a few discs.

My eve was dogshit before I got Fufu. I couldn't do more than 2 star on DA. With Fufu I'm 35k to 40k'ing without even trying since her buffs hit everything that Evelyn wants. Ult damage, chain damage and crit damage.
If you didn't get Fufu or Lighter I would probably then get Yuzuha so you can free up Astra for your Eve team and use Yuzuha on your anomaly teams as an Astra substitute.
Assuming you've done that, I'd then get her sig if you're still struggling.
But I really can't emphasize enough how massive a buff Ju Fufu is for my Evelyn.

I would probably wait for a Fufu rerun then. But almost certainly another stunner will come out that's good for Evelyn.
If she reruns before either the Fufu rerun or a new female stunner comes out, then I'd roll her sig to make your life a bit easier.
You can still use Koleda with Evelyn but Koleda does require a lot of skill to use unlike Fufu. I recommend learning how she plays and focusing in on that since Evelyn is on field only long enough to get her 3 points and a full bar, then you switch to Koleda and try and stun as fast as possible with dodge counters and enhanced basics.
Sig will help but 25% damage increase does not translate to 25% better times. At best you might get 12% better times than you're getting now.

I just started like 2 weeks ago, and won the 50/50 for both miyabi and her weapon. I think I want yanagi next but I have no idea how plentiful or scarce polychromes become after the initial flood of stuff you get from the beginning stages/leveling up. Iโm halfway through the season 1 story I think if that matters at all.

Player enters a version of the character selection screen that does not have the button to enter the special training program screen
Frequency: 100% consistent
Steps to reproduce:
Upon completing any content that rewards upgrade materials, use the button "return to upgrading", and upon exiting the character upgrade screen, the bug will occur.
Note: This is especially easy to trigger as the special training menu provides links directly to the material reward content.
Overall effect to player:
They have to back out of the character menu and re-open it in order to access the special training menu.
