You can try and watch all your character episodes, collect all the trophies and check the main mission for anything that looks easily doable for some extra carats.
But apart from all those first time gibs it's gonna be hella slow.

Imagine you have a bag with 6 marbles, 1 for each support card. When you get an event you pull a marble out of the bag and that's the event you get. If you don't put the Twin Turbo marble back in the bag after you pull it, now there's only 5 marbles so next time you pull one out the odds on each one are higher.
It's a little more complex than that because you can also pull non-main events or completely random events or character events ect ect, but your Support Card main line events are very common and so trimming the pool of options down makes each option left more likely.

You want up to 5 Support Cards (compared to 7 characters/5 weapons in Genshin)
The 5 support cards are not hard to get though compared to genshin because:
1. Umamusume regularly gives out limitless selectors and universal uncap items, neither of which exist in genshin
2. you don't have to wait a year for a banner to come back in Umamusume, even ignoring the items from point 1, because banner units always enter the general pool immediately and can spook you at any time
3. 3% rate on top rarity (and also +1 more every 200), compared to .6% up to 1% consolidated (including pity)
Also people just exaggerate a bit for this game when it comes to "You NEED to MLB everything!!!!". You don't. Super Creek is better at MLB but if you just want Swinging Maestro it's equally as good at doing that as a base card. You also only really ever need 5 cards in this game, it's not like Genshin where new modes ask you to have TWENTY PLUS different characters built and ready for combat.

All specialty rating up will do is increase your consistency, which is nice, but it won't increase your ceiling
If you're constantly hovering a B+ or low A, then having more consistency will not help you, you're already a good trainer who can make it work, what you need is a higher upper limit on what you can achieve

Kitasan isn't broken but it moves the needle enough that your average horse should end runs with more stats, and your very best horses will have more stats than your pre-Kita very best horses did.

I haven't seen the math in years but iirc when you have 100 priority you're now at 30% instead of 15% for your specialty stat, and it takes this evenly from the other outcomes including the "not training" outcome. Since you're asking about 60 -> 100 that's going from 24% -> 30%, aka it'll be on speed 6% of the time it wasn't before.
