Been a while. Aside from the obvious (textures), what types of mods can 1.6 be expected to not break? It seems to affect a lot more than 1.5 which mostly optimized (or tried to) pawn rendering so I bet almost nothing just works out of the box.

I had to escape. They were all impids so they just got in close range and fire breath everything. Turns out you can grav ship launch with enemies on-board and take them with you and just finish them off in another map.
First time the game has ever had TPS slow down so far with this chapter.

It also adds the possibility to create your own mechanic hive, pollution you must manage, and most importantly, the ability for your characters to have children (and yes your genes can be passed down to your offspring but you have no control over what Genes they get)

You can create your own ideligions and your enemies will also have their own, the DLC also adds slavery, and different styles for buildings based on your beliefs (Totemic people have different ways of building chairs compared to transhumanists for example)
These two not only will give you the most hours of gameplay for your money but after you grow tired going to the workshop will give you INFINITE hours of extra content as these two are the most mod friendly DLCs

Masterwork and Legendary quality are HUGE boosts for all weapons, often making them nearly twice as good and better than shit multiple tech levels higher.
Plasma swords normally have lower base damage than monoswords because they have a 70% chance to do +10 Flame damage on hit on top of their Stab and Cut damage in the table....but being Masterwork means it gets a straight up 50% damage boost and is now outdamaging a monosword even before taking into account the actual plasma/fire effect

also you can build reusable passenger shuttles in odyssey if you dont wanna deal with the gravship but still want an upgrade over drop pods. shuttles can carry 500kg of shit which is plenty for most needs

I left a mech cluster live and for whatever reason enemy raids go after them and get shredded to death. Unfortunately the last one kamikaze'd into it, destroyed it and I cleaned it up but now I fear for my safety since I don't have those guys clearing half the raids for me anymore.

put nicholas into the growth vat ASAP; researched vital monitors on the meantime; once he was 3 he could benefit from Le's preach health; all this + max quality glitterworld medicine tending might be enough to save him through the immunity meter (that is invisible without fucking dev mode? why).
I still think this shit is bugged; the "randomization" timer is in the negative 600k ticks, meaning a change from the "grave" type of illness should be 10 rimworld days overdue, whereas the wiki states that this change should happen once every 1-3 days. What do you guys do for money (in rimworld)? With the ship scenario I found I only made psychoid once and it felt like I was wasting time. I hunted a lot and that seemed to work. Sent the excess meat in drop pods for goodwill or sold it if there was an available trader. Crafting dusters and capes from the leather with my production specialist made pretty good money.
Is crafting power armor worth it? By the time I had enough for my team to take on the mech hive I was still decking out my pawns in bionics. It seems like there is NEVER excess plasteel to sell off. In fact I was spending all my money on plasteel from any colony in shuttle range.
Is making and selling furniture viable? Im not sure how many traders accept it

Basing inside of the bunkers is a novelty but it really needs to have proper threat generation so it spawns bugs/underground-appropriate events in lieu of surface stuff, literally nothing happens so you might as well not bother since it's god mode with no interesting events. They should support it as a real playstyle, there's room to make it work since gravships are just as broken mechanically but at least you can still manage to die to a badly timed raid

Holy fucking shit I never had to somehow beat infant illness through immunity gain, I didn't even think it was real. It's absurd.
He's had a bit of a rought start at childhood, being forced from newborn to toddler as soon as possible, then being locked in bed for days on end under intensive medical care. His learning bar stayed at 0% for several days due to not having the chance to go out and learn at all due to the disease. I'm honestly kind of impressed at myself for somehow figuring out a way for him to survive this, but I'm also still mad that this is probably the result of a weird bug.

It stayed as grave all the way, and I looked into it on devmode and the "tickstorandomstage" or something like that was in the negatives, which doesn't sound right. I keep deleting all my screenshots after I post them in threads
Then I have the idea to repost it later because it would be relevant- then realize oh yeah I wiped my folder again.
I'm not complaining about the DLC Rimworld is getting bar Anomaly but what are the odds we get a DLC or an update with one that adds a reason to ever look at the world map or a feeling of being a part of the world and not just a tiny playpen that things wander in to? It's so barebones, everything is just a facade for things that are entirely unrelated and have no impact on your colony that functions as its own pocket dimension

That fuckin hero turret dishin out headshots like FPS Doug. Luckily I had a rez serum and had already mined the plasteel asteroid on this voyage. After 2 relays I got close to 100 components from deconstructing all the batteries and solar panels. Got this though

After 5 ingame years, the 'tribe' feels ready to start work towards a gravship. After looking at the recipes, it seems clear we don't have nearly enough steel or plasteel to get thing really ready, so the core will be sitting on our stockpile for a while still, but I hope to have something airborne within maybe 2 years. At least we already have 3 colonists with recon armor+cataphract helmets that can be sent into orbit to maybe mine some asteroids or something, but our greatest priority currently is still getting the necessary plasteel and steel, and the deep mining scanner really isn't cooperating much on this front.

i have a sniper rifle that outranges pikemen and uranium slug turrets which greatly makes up for how it's a masterwork and not legendary. my trigger happy jogger shooting specialist uses it, and on top of the 1.6 sniper buffs, shots come out extremely fast. he's my designated kiter that i bring on any shuttle questing crew

I just found 2 gravcores on one map. One after destroying the reactor and another in a sealed container. There were only 50 panels but I dont need them anyways
