Alright, so I downloaded the game a few days ago and just finished the first dungeon. I'm reticent of judging it still because I am aware it is seemingly impossible to make a gacha game with a non-shit beginning, so I'm willing to give it some grace. That said:
The game could greatly benefit from either more descriptive narration, better CGs, or both. Often I am a bit disoriented on what is going on in a scene, who just appeared and how the events took place, the tutorial scene being a good example: ONE of the assassins gets hit by the bus, which I assume knocked her unconscious...but then the other two just kind of stand there staring as twelve fucking people disembark the bus, have a lengthy chat with you (complete with a few jokes and everything) and then go back to trying to kill you after the conversation is over. I know 'anime action time' is a thing, but I feel like this could have been solved if the bus had just knocked a bunch of trees of rocks in front of the killers or something instead, whatever explains their complete absence from the next scene until suddenly they're there again.
Something similar happened at the end of the first dungeon when Team Bad Guys shows up out of nowhere, I really feel like simply adding a line where Dante narrates 'I then realized a group of strange people had entered the room while we were all too focused on Yuri's head' could've helped things greatly.

Going back to the forest scene, when Vergillius comes out, it also took me a bit to realize he had just oneshotted two of the assassins, the CGs are not very clear and the way the characters react doesn't really explain much. I feel like the writers are aware of that because they have him say 'i just killed two of them and ripped of your arm' right afterwards, but that's just a clunky way of doing it imo.
While I'm talking about Vergillius: I am willing to accept overpowered DMPC types, but I feel like introducing him this soon was not a very good idea and casts a 'why isnt Verg dealing with this' shadow over every subsequent encounter. It kind of made me flash back to my first TTRPG sessions with friends when I was a teenager, and how the DM could not wait to show his uber-powerful and cool DMPC to outshine the players. However, I can see that there is probably more to him than just that, so I am willing to wait and see.
As for the Sinners, I must say I find them an interesting way of trying to overcome the usual gacha game issue of having so many different characters that most of them end up out of focus...but, even when they're just twelve, some of them STILL felt out of focus for most of the first chapter. I often forgot Meursault or Yi Sang or Hong Lu or Ryoshu were even there at all, only being reminded that they exist when I saw them on the character select screen. Still, they are an interesting bunch and I do want to see what the story does with them, so so far they do have managed to make me want to keep reading to get to know them better.
A little note on the gameplay: It feels like a huge clusterfuck but I've played enough rpgs and gacha games to know it will all make sense...eventually. Still, I feel as if the way information is relayed to you could be better, as well as how the UI works, but we'll see.

As for the good things: I do enjoy how the writing does not pull punches when it comes to showcasing how grimdark the setting is. It was both shocking and refreshing to get to the meat grinder bus scene and just see every character sort of...accept it. It's a scene that tells a lot about the world and the setting through the characters, I liked it.
Yuri's death was hilariously telegraphed and yet somehow, it happening on the middle of a CYOP event with no CG or anything still took me by surprise, I'd say that was the one time where the game's lack of budget kind of worked on its favor.
Lastly, I actually liked the 'credits' scene a lot. At first I was puzzled, then I thought it was oddly self-indulgent to have credits for such a short chapter, but as the song went on and the camera panned back to reveal everyone looking morose and bloodied, I thought it was a great way of setting what I assume the overall tone of this story is going to be.

So yeah, so far it's not great, but I am willing to give it a lot of slack. Bigger companies with much bigger budgets have had very similar beginnings to their gacha, so I am going to allow this one a longer grace period to see what it can do. Thanks for reading my personal blog, I might make more of those as I continue down the story.
