Running the latest atmosphere and hekate on my RCM injection Switch.

I'm running stock sysnand, and RCM injecting into an emunand for my homebrew CFW situation.

I was led to believe that using JKSV, the save backup homebrew, I could backup load and edit the saves on the stock sysnand side of things as well as emunand.

Is that true? And if so, how?

Choose the .3ds file from the roms folder. The program uses boot9.bin to decrypt and convert the file without needing XORpads, bypassing the 4GB transfer issue.

The output .cia file will be smaller than 4GB (due to automatic trimming of padding) and saved to the cia folder.

what the other anon said but i specifically recommend dbi, simply cause it has a mode no other installer has which is MTP: you basically hook up the switch to your pc and without any additional program all the stuff shows up on your pc as if they were folders of an external drive or something, not only that but you can install games that way too (hell, you can even dump your own games that way too). The only downside is that the dev has been chastised on gbatemp and now he only makes the thing in russian, but it both works just fine (there's a translation of every button on the very same page you download the program) and the latest english version (which is like a year old now) also works just fine so you can just use that one

I am new to all of this. I got an OLED switch just recently and got it modded. Since it was done at the shop for me and I indicated to the guy that I kinda do know what I'm doing I just had the device in hand with no prior experience. It wasn't exactly easy to get anything working at first. I already downloaded lots of games from private torrent sites. But no USB modes work yet because I have a Linux PC. I've only been able to install games through either dropping them on the SD card using Hekate where the connection does work or over the network. Neither are ideal obviously. So that's a problem I need to fix at some point. Today I migrated from the fake 128GB sandisk card I got at that shop to a 512GB samsung, as a side effect I ended up updating hekate and had to troubleshoot a bunch of issues. At least I learned how to deal with that shit later.

I'm old fashioned so I like downloading scene releases. As I understand it you just need to download your game then the latest update. Install the game, then install the update. You don't need to install all the updates. Just the newest one. For DLC if there's a bunch of files it should still just work.

Does luma3ds have any dev settings I can use to lower the boot time? I'm on 64gb SD card and its currently taking about 17 seconds from light turning on to the screen turning on. I want to see what I can accomplish without going down on installed games

You can use local trading, yes (using WiFi but without being connected to a router, for example). I've even used Sword/Shield's LAN communication trick to trade from an emulator to my unhacked OLED. If anything, it may not work if the games are in different update versions, but you could try and then update the lowest one if needed.
