New talents, with 51 points available at 60. New spells. Reworks and brand new areas, zones, dungeons, raids, and items. But for those who are less diplomatic there is a Warmode that sets you as PvP and allows you to level through PvP. There will also be a separate PvP realm with all the features of the PvE realm except no cross-faction. Seems fine. Just know that Epoch devs did whatever they could to fuck over the usual mage/prot pally AoE spots. Melee mobs will now have ranged abilities, stuns, charms, dots, anything to fuck you over. All the good spots will be hogged for weeks as well, unless you're planning on spamming dungeons you're better off leveling as ret (which can still tank dungeons fine as well)

If paladins can reach uncrusheable at any point and find a way to deal with their mana issues prot warriors are so fucking done.

My personal rating for all classes part 1:
>Druid
S+ tier in both PvP and PvE. Most overbuffed broken class in the game. Ferals now scale with weapon dps, apply on hit procs in forms, can use consumables in forms, have access to mangle and can equip polearms.
>Hunter
B+ in PvE, B- in PvP. Their bonuses are mid at best (extra ammo lmao). Dead zoning is removed and TBC talent tree doesn't really bring anything crazy for them in PvP. They will still be viable in PvE due to Frenzy mechanic.
>Mage
A tier in both PvP and PvE. TBC mages are just Vanilla mages with QoL upgrades, not much to add.
>Paladin
B tier in PvE (Holy only, C tier for rest) and C in PvP. They're pure trash. Tbc paladin was already mid tier across the board and epochs scaling makes them even weaker (75% Crusader strike lmao). Same mana issues, hands replacing utility blessings is nice I guess but not game breaking in PvP. Their new AOE cleave seal is serviceable in dungeons.

B- in PvP. A- in PvE.
Having a smite priest option is nice but already confirmed to be underwhelming. They're good healers and vampiric touch will make shadow priests highly desirable in caster heavy raid comps due to mana regen. I think melee comps will still reign supreme but spell and mixed comps are way more viable on epoch where spriest shines. Shadow is king in 1v1 duels but suffers in Bgs and Arenas where they struggle with mana, which I reflected in my rating.
>Rogue
S+ in PvP. A tier in PvE.
Tbc rogues are already goated in 2v2 arenas, the change to their combo points (not losing combo points after swapping targets) make them outright broken in BGs. They also improve their rating in PvE as TBC has good PvE rogue specs.
>Shaman
A+ in PvE and PvP.
Shamans had 3 viable specs in TBC. They have QoL wotlk changes in call of elements which makes that class braindead in PvE. They have lava blast to resolve issues with nature resistance bosses. They will still have issues with mana which stops them from being S tier.

Affliction warlocks were S+ in arenas at the end of TBC when they obtained more health and resilience. Epoch effectively allows them to use 2 curses at the same time which is big in PvP. Destro will have a viable AoE clear with Rain of Fire now criting. Their PvE was already formidable and outright broken with haste stacking. I wouldn't put them in S tier for PvE because I don't think Vanilla gear will have a great deal of haste gear.

Unless their raids are completely retardedly tuned, I'd say a lot of specs are going to be viable. With how buffs work raidwide means bringing a diverse group is beneficial. 2% raidwide spell crit buff will be nice if you have a lot of casters but if the meta just devolved into warrior stacking like other classic servers then who knows.
If raids are hard as shit then people will opt to ignore off meta classes and stick to what they're comfortable with. If shit is balanced I could see all classes being useful if the itemization is there. One of the reason warrior is so good in classic anyway is because their itemization is great and they scale so well with shit like world buffs while other classes struggle
