Biggest issue with raid pugging is that the LFG system is filled to the gills with shitters spam creating groups hoping for a carry so there's very little actual proper raid leading since it's a thankless, demanding job where you're often left herding cats that don't even speak english.

Pic an alt, get it basic profession gear, like max quality greens.
Collect all the knowledge treasures for mining buy the books from rep and ajk mine each type of node you can find once along the way to get to 25 skill.
Spec into mounted mining then just level 70-80 entirely by mining, mail the ore to your main.
Its better than just mining on your main cus its dual purpose, you get xp in addition ore.
Takes me ~6 hours total per alt I do this on and I wand up with like ~1500 bismuth, 600 each of the other two. along with various side mats. That huge stack of mats came almost entirely from just leveling alts, mostly in warmode, half of them I did enough wqs along the way to get full pvp kit at max and two of them I then went on and got Rival+elite sets on.
