I'm doing Mythic now, and I was playing with the meme crossbow, and suddenly I'm doing 6k a shot to this dude? Even the other earlier bosses (the minotaur and the shank) I was only doing 1k a shot. I switched back to my original linear and yep, 250 a shot.

I think armor stats are dumb and should be removed or at least reverted to only affect cooldown like in D1. No stat should affect how much damage your weapons, abilities, or supers do and no stat should affect how much damage resistance or health you have.

Why didn't they just make Red borders drop less frequently and remove Deepsight harmonizers. Even when the seasonal weapons were a whopping 10 in the Final Shapes 3 seasons that still left literally 3-4 times more other guns that very season that were not craftable at all. ARE THEY STUPID?

I read someone's comment about Bungie giving up and just making Destiny a game you play instead of a game with a world you're supposed to immerse yourself in, and the dialogue in the new Portal activities made me realize what they meant by that. At first i thought the portal activities were just old activities, but given new dialogue and thus a different context, but no, there are quotes like "Time for the final boss! Kill it for some loot" and yeah, this is just a game now. No point in pretending like there's a story or anything.

I'll be honest, the campaign burned me out, there is just too much minor, yet annoying puzzling at every step. It felt artificially padded out, instead of just being pure parkour and combat encounters, like it usually was.
Lock me in a fun looking room, give me reason to care, interesting combat scenario and put some amazing music. Less of being a little mouse and trying to find a hole to hide my cheese in.
Btw, making you able to freely use Matterspark post-campaign was an amazing addition, it should have been like this from the start. I'll probably would have hated it less.
But I really liked story, and dialogues, at least characters were taking it seriously this time.

I'm perfectly fine with introducing some sort of grind for a higher tier of rewards that are meant to be a tangible reflection of the player's commitment to playing a game they enjoy. I'm not fine with introducing a heavy-handed grind in order to get loot at the level of power I was already earning before. It also should not take longer to reach the max power level than it is to do something like achieving BiS in a more traditional MMO like WoW or FFXIV - 2 games that have an actual financial incentive to make that grind take forever.

Over the long term? It's clear that the current version of the engine D2 is on is showing its age, and there is simply an ever increasing demand for a new version of Destiny. Everyone says they should have just made Destiny 3 but honestly I think the game would be better with a comprehensive overhaul that also drops the number in the title entirely. The approach should be something closer to what ARR was to FF (honestly, Beyond Light should have been designed to be exactly that). It doesn't matter if whatever new saga they have is meant to be a new jumping in point, shit like sunsetting is a specter that will forever haunt this franchise until it's directly addressed.
I'd say to create a new version of destiny that reprises and remasters what was core to the "light&dark saga" from both Destiny 1 and 2, bringing back what was lost from sunsetting and letting a new player actually play the whole narrative in-game. People say they would just play a D3 and start over with it, but I honestly have my doubts, and even if they did, I would struggle to see how a D3 would be appealing to new players who still cant play the full Destiny experience. I also think that if they either do a D3, or this hypothetical full "Destiny" experience, it needs to be developed while still supporting D2 in the meantime, with active communication of what they are working on. FF14 players knew that 2.0 existed well before it came out, I'm not saying to turn destiny into a completely different game like what FF14 did, but the players need to have knowledge of some sort of light at the end of this tunnel.

Rescale portal rewards. Every drop pre-200 should be giving you +5~10. 200 to 300 should be +3~7, and 300+ should be the ball-crusher mode with +1~4 since that's where you should be getting real upgrades from the drops.
On that note, redistribute the cadence of tiers. For world drops it's fine to make it based on score/power, but certain activities should drop higher tiers sooner, such as raids and dungeons, due to the difficulty of entry these activities should have.
Make EVERY weapon that is not currently in an active tiered loot pool either craftable or enhanceable.
Allow for the upgrading of loot. A godroll T1 drop should be upgradeable to have all columns enhanced. Obviously only T3+ can benefit from extra perks in columns, and only T5 will get the fancy skin, but players should not be looking at guns and going "that's a cool gun with the perks I want, but it's T1/2 so [dismantles]."

I don't think people have a problem with a raid that is difficult to beat. Everyone loved Pantheon which allowed you to engage with encounters at contest-level difficulty, the contest race for Salvation's Edge was also well received. What people don't like is getting stonewalled by a gear check, without the ability to actually overcome that gear check with attrition, and I'm sorry but loadout swapping is a fucking dogshit meta strategy for both players AND viewers of a world first race and should have no place in encounter design. Its why Consecration and Titan in general has been the beating stick by Bungie since this game came out.
Warlock has to be overpowered or the pvp sweats, console players and raiders will complain that their crutch class isn't throwing 5 nades now its throwing 3 or its super stasis crystal turret that lasts forever and clears the entire zone isnt proccing devour etc.
They even took Hunter out back before they even did 1 nerf to Warlock. This update is probably the first time they have done a major balance to Warlocks since the ignition nerf or subclass reworks which is made funnier because they told no one about it, they had to.
