Its honestly kind of funny because everyone knows Strategists are blatantly broken in this game but everyone is also so bored of playing healers so they go out of their way to play non-meta shit like Mantis, Adam, Ultron, Jeff, etc and throw a match. And yes this is acknowledging the fact that those characters are good in certain team compositions but most of these players are locking them in horrible team compositions.
I think this behavior is a product of stagnation, there's a bad level of stagnation in the meta of this game and slowly but surely ruining the enjoyment factor and player count. I can see why Riot Games constantly reinvent the meta with league of legends on a month to month basis, otherwise that game would just turn into Marvel Rivals tier balancing.

Alright, Thor is really useless in poke meta.
If I dive in, there's no follow up.
The team will be miles away from the enemy's frontline and just poking at their tank's shield.
If I rely on awakening, I can short burst some damage, but overall lesser than if I just use someone like squirrel girl.
If I wait until both team starts spamming healing ult, my damage can't kill anybody & my ult can't kill anybody through healing ult either.
I'm basically just sitting and doing nothing and waiting for something to happen.

Spider Man has to get really close to you to do damage and his two main ways to deal damage (both versions of the pull and uppercut, tell you exactly where he's going to be, move him in super predictable easy to hit paths. Just make the heal or flight gap contrast more noticeable. In WoW PvP if healers were focused they could stall their deaths or even outplay DPS but couldn't heal their DPS/Tank while doing it, it forces them to peel the healer as it should go. Spidey and BP are completely oppressive characters and balance wise they're insanely broken. Spiderman is easy to counter and play against. You just have to understand his kit and the average mentality of the player behind him. People hate Spiderman because he moves insanely fast. To the point where most players genuinely cannot track him. That's why his two best counters are Scarlet Witch and Namor - two characters that have auto aim capabilities. Spiderman is the type of character that dictates how and when you fight him. He's never going to come "directly in front of you". Any decent Spiderman is going to approach from an off angle or flank - and more often than not when you're busy fighting someone else or focusing on healing. "Scare him off" is another reason why people hate dive characters in general, because if they mess up their "I kill you in a second" combo they slip away for a few seconds then try again. Spiderman has a uniquely annoying issue where if you actually kill him he is back in the fight as soon as he respawns because he can traverse entire maps in seconds.

What is it about social aspects of banning that seems weird? Example, wolverine is regularly banned. Like a lot. So is Black Panther etc. However, there are characters like Luna and Magneto who are most like S-Tier generally. However, they are almost never banned. Why is that? Actually, I don't think healers are banned nearly as often as DPS or Tanks. So what makes a character annoying enough to want to ban over and over again.

Side question: Could anything ever be gained from adding "Ban protection"? As in, instead of selecting to ban a character, you could use that chance to "protect" a character and prevent a ban at the cost of your own ban. That seems like it could be aids though because people would just protect whoever is disgustingly OP at that moment I guess. But its just interesting to me that S-Tiers like Luna and Magneto are never banned but characters of dubious quality like BP, Wolverine and possibly Spiderman are banned frequently.

I honestly don't think Magneto is S-Tier. He is just really really applicable to how the game is played in Tourneys and even in ranked competitive. Not only he tanks damage from the enemy team, more importantly he breaks enemy healer's LoS. So he also acts like Ana of this game, disabling the enemy tanks' heals. Since pretty much all the healers in this game need LoS to their patients.
And his ult is instant, and while it doesn't stun the enemies, the root disables their movement abilities. And also, apparently the ults, because ults in this game have movement ability properties(?), I dunno. While it can't delete enemies with big dick damage, the very fact that it's instant can be a bigger advantage. Since it wouldn't let enemy healers pop their ults. Unlike, say, if you'd shoot a slow moving projectile ult at them.

Storm's projectiles are too slow for panther and her aoe has a longer cool down than panthers kit. If your iron man, torch and hulk are doing anything but frontline you've already lost the game. I honestly cant stand playing this game because it doesn't matter how much effort I put into trying to make things work. There is without a fail always healers or one distinct player who makes it their mission to keep playing in their broken twisted way to spite the team or I.

Yesterday I steamrolled an enemy team into a 3/0 early on and went 48/12 in a match and still lost because one of my supports (ultron) were farmed by the enemy team, he couldn't even get his ult out long enough to sustain us because they would nuke him out of the sky and when I politely asked him to switch he typed "sigh" went lord dagger and still managed to keep dying, failing to ult counter the psylocke and then blamed me for the loss.

That shit is so demoralizing, and it happens regularly. I dont think I've ever seen a more stuck up bunch of players than the ones who have it so good on their "main" role that they feel the need to spice up their game indirectly fucking over their team at their expense.

I solo climbed to Celestial last season and I'm starting to regret not pushing to eternity but I had real life shit to take care of. getting out of bronze is genuinely impossible. it blows my mind how one-sided the matchmaking is in this game. i can tell just by the way the enemy team plays they are significantly better than everyone on my team. i always get the dagger's that spend most of their time as cloak, i always get the jeff, i always get the 1-14 spiderman, i always get healers who try to stick to the front line, i'm always solo tanking, the enemy team always has a blackpanther or spiderman that just rapes the backline uncontested. i've gotten to bronze I two times before deranking to bronze II to finally get back up to bronze I again. i'm just about ready to give up. i have never felt at any point a match is even. when i win and when i lose it's so fucking easy to tell how unbalanced the matchmaking is. it's stomp after stomp after stomp.

Bronze is unironcally hard to climb in, you can look at high level players on YouTube. There's some guy that has made a whole channel one tricking characters bronze to celestial as fast as possible and bronze is consistently where time gets lost. My personal experience even as a tank player, was that going healer is the best way to climb.

We've known Blade was planned as a duelist since the beta. We've also known though that Ultron was supposed to be base game and Blade season1, so I was hoping that their flexibility would let them respond to the situation and literally just give Blade some more HP and call him Vanguard.
