Sigh. Well at least it's authentic. It hasn't been in the sunlight btw, just buried on a shelf in my room with other controllers. Guess the air exposure is enough to do it.

ISHYGDDT
The only thing from them I appreciate is their wireless joystick; I have no idea why they are the only game in town for that. Even that has parts you probably wanna replace and the bluetooth mode on mine is shot. Not that you'd want to use it instead of 2.4ghz. All their gamepads have been trash in my experience. Get a DS5 + DS4Win and replace the battery in it.

I have the snes one I mentioned because I wanted an exact replica to play snes games rather than a substitute and didn't want some terribly cheap one, it was pretty good, a pro+ I think one which is basically a snes controller with handles, analog sticks and horrible fucking triggers and a pro 2 which is basically the same as that but with bonus back buttons. The analog stick rubbers on that wore out in a few weeks and I had to get some thumbgrips that fitted them, piss poor. Overall I have mixed feelings. I won't be buying any again I think.

Both, if you can. Then you can become one of the local freaks comparing emus to hardware, especially on shovelware. Xemu's at the point where anything I just download at a whim is at least playable now. Not perfect, though. Wreckless has some minor LOD issues, Unreal Championship 2 has some shadow problems in 3rd person depending on the lighting/map. Still, you could finish these games and get a mostly authentic experience. Those could be fixed now too, as this emu is actually improving.

Absolutely, Xemu has caught up to PCSX2 in terms of compatibility. PCSX2 is still better for enhancements and broader hardware feature support though.

Indeed. It's a key point which already mentioned in the wiki: the 'playable' status for Xemu and PCSX2 games doesn't include minor performance issues, graphical bugs (e.g., software renderer required PCSX2 titles), or sound problems.

I'd say all the 6th gen emulators work about as well as each other, which is to say it'll get you through and you can raise the resolution most of the time, but it'll have some flaws that can usually be ignored. I don't think ciggyposting works for them because it's just patently obvious that none of them are 1:1 with hardware because of what they do to get their results. PS1 emulation is far lower level and invites more comparison.

For me, I just can't get into graphical enhancements for anything pre-seventh gen. It breaks the immersion when it's not on a CRT (or something like 'HSM's Mega Bezel' preset). It just doesn't look or feel right, no matter what enhancement you try. Whether it's texture packs, frame generation and internal framerate hacks, increased internal resolution, pp injection, or even overclocking the emulated system, none of them truly mask the fundamental limitations of the original graphics.

Well, kinda. They worked on Smash, but don't seem to be loading up on TotK. I think it might be because the download on the Emu wiki has the vulkan.bin file for TotK, but doesn't include the vulkan_pipelines.bin file as well (Smash's download has both files).
When I put the downloaded vulkan.bin (500 something MB) in the folder then boot up the game, the file gets "reset" into a file with only some kB, so I assume it needs the matching pipelines file.
