Forgotten about most of the time. Sure they are remembered here and there (mercedes/kain) but are not really thought about. Just give them hurricane and they'll be happy.

The youngest: thieves

Spoiled rotten. Very loved. The one nexon likes to brag about to their friends. Give them the world.

The adopted child: pirates

Came into the picture later. They try to do right by pirates, sometimes doesn't go well. But in general, good intentions. Give them a little bit of everything all the other kids get so they can feel like they are part of the family.

Kerning quietly went into beta a couple of days ago and I wanted to share my experience since it's a server that is sometimes mentioned and recommended here.

Kerning has been on my radar since early this year, they were originally a v111 server but transitioned to v117 recently. I spent a lot of time in the alpha period and even donated since I liked the direction they were going, but here are some thoughts as a long time player.

- Very buggy, and most of these bugs were not in the alpha. Constant rollbacks are happening and exploits are running rampant: there is currently a major exploit with quests, which allows you to turn them in dozens of times by simply holding the NPC talk button. (There are repeating weekly quests that give rewards such as cubes, players abusing this have not yet been punished)

- At launch, there was an NPC giving out cubes in bulk for free, a lot of players abused this and the cubes have not been removed from circulation.

- Constant problems with logging in, characters getting stuck, skills disappearing, lag, losing 2x coupons all make the whole ordeal really frustrating. Most of the times there are no GMs/devs around to help.

- Cash shop inventories and NX were not wiped from alpha. I don't even know what to say here.

I could go on. I know people will say things like: "it's still beta, it's supposed to be broken!". After an alpha that lasted a bit under a year, that's not really a good excuse. This all feels very rushed and I hope they figure it out since I really want the server to work out

I literally just 100% the actual dave the diver like a month ago and god damn this Maplestory version is bloody horrible. You'd think the point of collabs is to give people a teaser for the actual game so they may want to play the actual game after trying, but who the hell would want to play the actual Dave the Diver after this minigame?? It's so poorly made it's laughable.

It's almost as if it was made by someone who was described the mechanics of Dave the Diver without actually playing it before and tried to recreate it via description alone.

Enemy density is terrible where there are too many enemies in some areas and none in others. Like the actual enemy density in actual Dave the Diver is about equal to Blue Hole Depths minus the jellyfishes so they obviously know what the true enemy density is BUT INSTEAD, Thresher (most valuable fish) is surrounded by 10-20 striped catfish, 6-8 red lionfish, 2-3 titan triggerfish, 1 marlin and 0-1 copper sharks. Bro regular dave the diver had like max 2-3 enemies per chunk/area. And who decided movespeed should be an upgradable stat instead of giving us the full regular movespeed?? The people who made this cheap knockoff need to be fired or smth, literally griefing the company since Dave the Diver is also published under Nexon.

I applaud the people who will be trying to do Thresher everyday because his position is bloody cancerous. Hammerhead everyday is way better for mental just because idk what they were smoking with the Thresher area.

It seems that HT in RoD is outright impossible in code x unless you have more than around 10m cp. I tried it on my former main who had around 13m with just WSE and when I focused on the heads they started dying somewhere around 10-15 minutes into the fight. When I tried to do the same thing with my CW character who's only at around 8.5m I spent 25 minutes without being able to kill a single one. The health regen the boss gets when its HP falls low enough is just too much unless you've got good damage.

The rest seem to be doable with just 8.5m cp, even if some border on a min clear. It gets me a level 4 box instead of a level 2 one.

vellum and pap r kinda hard on code x because of uptime issues but i tackled mag and darknell it just took a while

I'm playing WA so the main attacking skill does only hit one target, but the same was true for my BM who had a pretty easy time. You're not going to 2-burst HT in code x with only 8.5m cp unless you're some totally broken class like Sia, especially in CW where there are no link skills.

p3 is way easier and a mechanics check; if you don't greed it takes a really really bad laser pattern to kill you. p2 is way more rng and easier to lose lives due to shit patterns meteor patterns (at least before gene iframe). Only reason people lose more lives in p3 is because it's longer in min clears and they greed too much.

Artale fucked itself over by allowing chinese and bots to flood it. The only reason maplelands is so popular in KR is because they hardlined demanding verification which is beyond what most account sellers offer, so ONLY koreans or really dedicated people bother getting on it.
Artale KR, bossstory, and the other OSMS clients pretty much all died off in KR mapleworlds. They still have core playergroups but maplelands is far and away the most popular game, it still peaks at like 15-20k every day, as far as I know and charts describe.
