first ever mash run because I want more paint options. Played Skyraider since I just like it and I am aware of the faggotry in this gamemode. I didn't really know what I have to do so I just killed some mobs and took their stuff. Filled my boots with loot then made a beeline to the extraction, immediately got targeted by an Aquilanigger who I promptly killed before extracting.

Even though its a Light Missile Launcher, it's still tier VI which is incredibly rare even on Extreme. Not even sure if extreme boosts the odds of weapon tier drops, honestly.
I've played 70 or so matches, most of them on extreme and have gotten maybe 4 tier VIs so far. Blue and green mod boxes are kind of a waste to grab I'd say, but at least the VI redeems and makes it a good first haul otherwise.

Probably the ability to act again after landing/whiffing a melee attack. There's quite a few melee hit/being hit stats and I don't remember them all, but they get pretty specific for what part of melee you recover faster/slower from.

They buffed the points you get, too, so my average went up by 1000. Normally would be 1500 - 2000. Plus I actually destroy all the corite samples as they give 10 points each and go down in one charge barrage or 4 melees. how do you feel about the hook? Isn't it a tad bit way too OP? The cooldown is pathetic, it's very spammable and there really is no viable counterplay to it right now. You get hooked, staggered and panther rushed and there's very little you can do to prevent it once the hook is latched. Feels like it should be dodgeable and parriable or something.

Hook is the strongest part of his kit for sure, I still think as I stated above not having it bypass into your direct hp pool would solve a lot. If I had to give an ultimate compromise give the hook ONE charge, it ALWAYS lands and does its shit since it can be finnicky and make it a decent CD 10s might be too little for ALWAYS but 12/14 seems fine.

That was a node map though and, beside Inferno, we didn't have any other tank nor Welkin. Pinaka and Luminae do work great together, but I think they really shine in tdm/key capture/dismantle maps. Anyway, sitting as Tricera on one node was worth, 130+ defend points, not a single soul could capture my point and we always had another node captured, so kinda easy win.

But now if I want to play PvP I have to:

They are slow as fuck, you gotta extract with them to not lose them, you are an easy target on the glider, parts waste lots of inventory slots (both in and out of match) and once you assemble a glider it doesn't have any weapons or tools installed, parts pool is too bloated with multiple rarities and equipment.
Weapon airdrop with some throwaway melee will provide you with better mobility if you aren't playing a flyer/melee already.

Killing it today in Mashmak extreme. It's pretty fun when you actually run into several human players in a row and get into one clusterfuck mega brawl in one spot. Had a Pinaka ambush me at a Constantine, but then a Stellaris ambushed the Pinaka and this was shortly after I just killed a Falcon who tried to contest me for Constantine.
On a side note, I'm surprised with the number of Stellaris MK-IIIs I've ran into so far. This is my 3rd one on Mashmak to date.

They aren't for the most part, but I'm still accumulating them so I might as well use the ones I do pick up. I think their main issue for me is how their own separate healthpool gets chipped down slowly and there's not much you can do about it. I do find them satisfying for destroying and pve mobs, though.
Outside of solo, I can see them being very effective in a well-coordinated team, especially after using whatever glider type it is that uses those jamming missiles/haze diffusers. The cooldown on those are absurd and you can just sit in the jamming cloud yourself to be immune to energy attacks nearly indefinitely and that's with just one glider. Never seen the turret recon drones, but those seem insane, too.
If only gliders weren't so absurdly rare (really only ever find sniper gliders)...

Skyraider doesn't really have a counter except another Skyraider. You'd think Falcon would be the way to go, but Skyraider can beat it most times in a dogfight.
It's supposed to be Tricera but Tricera is too limited to actually fight Skyraider in the open; Tricera negates missiles directed at it, but Skyraider can simply dump the missile at point blank and do loops overhead while pelting Tricera with lasers. Tricera would only have the situational advantage indoors with a low ceiling.
In theory, Stego is a much stronger counterpick now that Skyraider's CIWS can actually be depleted. A single micromissile volley focused on Skyraider may clear out all of the countermeasures, at which point Raider would need to loop excessively to avoid damage.

Last time I took the time to go through the actual highest ranks in NA Skyraider had the most representatives in the top50 or so. There is no counter outside of being a much better pilot than the Raider pilot. His even or slightly in the oppo favor mechs are all contributing so much less to the team's wincon that SkyRaider is always a net positive if the pilot is good enough for the lobby.

All the shitters kept claiming Falcon was strong and Skyraider was shit despite the obvious.
After the tournament showed that Skyraider is a very dominant top pick (and Falcon an utter useless tier next to Alysnes), everyone quickly came around to knowing what I said was true (but now there are still a couple retarded fags in this very thread who think that Aquila has any chance against Skyraider).
Skyraider got a nerf to its antimissile countermeasures after the tournament and yet it's still one of the best in terms of being able to get shit done.

Trapper mech.
Primary is a shotgun with 2 modes of fire. Slug and buckshot. Slug does high damage and buckshot staggers at close range.
secondary is a knife with short range lock on
aux 1 switches shotgun modes
aux 2 is a decoy drone that snares and then explodes
aux 3 is an attack drone that locks onto enemies like Pinaka's shield drone locks onto allies

The nerf to the static missiles and the missile countermeasures were solid nerfs to him to keep him one of the best-balanced Strikers in the game. I think they just need to increase the cooldown of barrel rolls for him and Falcon but otherwise perfect.

Narukami solo Mashmak (extreme) players are absolute psychos, I must say. Not sure if they were teaming or only calling a truce because they were both Narukamis or what, but maybe also simply couldn't get the kill on each other because they're both perched on opposite ends and only shoot at visible targets.
From the start of point A opening up to the closing final moments of B, I had to deal with two Narukamis on full guard dog mode until someone lost their patience. They had close to zero aggression in chasing me down so I could always recover (I'm Alysnes), but would lock down the extract. All 3 of us practically sat still for upwards of 5 minutes and the silence was only broken from an Inferno bot coming in and shaking things up, to which eventually drove them to move as they got greedy to loot and compromise their bunkering which allowed me to eventually kill them.
I think the main thing that made them psychos to me is the loot on them was pretty bad (like blue gear and below).
I guess that's just how it is when you play Narukami in solo.

If it was out in the open, then throwing some decoys/recon beacons would've helped, but the extract was at the worst possible spot as you had to run out into the middle to have a viable open sky to slap it down and then there's a million hiding spots up above there for them to just shoot down your beacons before you can shove your foot up their asses.
