I really want to try ZombiU lmao, it always struck me as cool but I didn't want to buy a WiiU back when it released.
I'm planning to mainly use it as a wii box desu, as I had a modded one but when I split with my last gf she kept it - was about to buy a wii replacement but then found this wiiu with a balance board for not much more and decided to kill two birds with one stone.
The balance board and motion controls might help me keep somewhat active with the wii fit / just dance stuff, in the past I've seen it work decently well if you're coming from a sedentary life stile like me.
Other than that, I'm really not sure myself how much use it's going to get. Worst case scenario it becomes a nice keepsake around the TV, I'd like to display one of each console from the NES up to the ~PS2/3 era.

which is no, I needed to mod the vwii to. Now I'm just wondering if I should go ahead with setting up ISFShax just so I can partition the external hdd to hold both wii and wiiu stuff or if I should just buy a separate hdd for the wii, since they are quite cheap nowadays

It's just the novelty of having official Nintendo instructions on the to screen you can toggle with an Enter button. They eventually released VS. Super Mario Bros. I just want to experience the only other official release of Super Mario Bros. in an authentic manner on a device whose purpose is dual screen gaming.

Suppose I could just load it up on PC in MAME, but that's not the goal here.

don't think so, if anything you get more functionalities cause it saves you from having to boot the vwii at all: if you do that process you'll end up with an icon on the wii u home screen even if it's a wii or gamecube game (though thinking about it i'm pretty sure for gamecube i had an icon that simply went on nintendont, and i then picked the game from there. Iirc this process though had the added bonus of being able to play gamecube games on the gamepad screen)

yeah that can happen, there's replacements with double capacity too (and the battery slot is made for that kind of expanded battery in mind to boot)

There's an icon customizer but as far as I can tell is for personalized icons rather than the "official" ones. Is the the one you're referring to? pretty strange that there's no much info on that. Or I suck at looking up things.
