Playing Oblivion Remastered lately has made the issue with NPCs and their braindead behavior all the more apparent to me. I'm using nff and I haven't found suitable settings. The setting to keep them downed during combat & not affected by healing doesn't work, so with grand healing and enemy aggro never prioritising me, I can just stand all day. I loved having them vulnerable to death, but that kind of sucks because of friendly fire, as the settings don't affect splash damage or things like chain lighting. A pain

This quest was so dogshit, because the NPCs literally rush ahead of you immediately, making it so that you have to move faster than them and kill enough goblins that there's no risk to them getting swarmed. Sometimes escort NPCs also have incredibly stupid aggro ranges. I remember for this one quest I had this High Elf woman I had to escort, and she'd aggro daedra several rooms away in a cave we were in.

Well, I got DynDOLOD working. All it took was replacing JK's Markarth with a different exterior mod. Test run checks out.

The problem I have now is that my game won't generate the grass cache. There's no message of it starting, and it always gives me the freezing error after a minute or two. There's no files in the grass folder, either.

I've no idea what it could be. Turned off common culprits like JK's mods, BEES, Mists of Tamriel, Skyrim souls, TrueHUD, Auto Parallax, etc.
