Baphomet is a pure aoe check. Clive has phases where you need a shitton of aoe even if you focus down the wolves. Sheila requires a lot of aoe to deal with maggots or you wipe. Famine summons so many tentacles that can and will kill you if you don't clear them. The CH13 boss is basically Baphomet again.
The CH14 big rat and arguably Big Bella are the only real single target bosses I've come across so far. We'll see though, maybe her numbers are so crazy that she just works regardless and I'm rolling for sex and the ancestral tower anyway.

So far I've gotten a handful of characters to maximum affinity (or at least the maximum that unlocks more than just star boosts) and the overwhelming majority of them are in love with (you). Two of them it's all but stated that (you) and she fuck. Escalatingly affectionate 'touch' dialogues too (though the translation patched so touch and intimate touch are called converse and charm now, pathetic!). So far zero remotely desirable female characters have been shipped with any other male character. Assuming you consider Noah, the main character, to be (you) even though he has a reasonably defined personality.

narratively the story is in a bad place for a slowdown, there was no plateau. Maybe you could lie and say ch9 and finally getting off the fucking boat, but then you're on a deserted island (which is just a continuation of the boat arc) and you do enough of it to be left hanging in the middle of a plot for the major game slowdown. That 160wall and cobbling together 5x4 dupes also seemed a lot farther away in nikke, like something you really had to deal with like 2+ months into your game to get past ch20 not complete the launch content.

You'll likely have better luck upon reset and also depending on how you configure your teams. Don't frontload your best team in the first slot.

BP doesn't mean much, unless it's particularly concentrated on a few very strong characters. You can both kill people 15k higher and struggle with the same BP as yourself. Comps and skill RNG define who is going to win most of the time. I've started one week later, so most of the time higher BP simply means higher transfusion levels. This does not their comps are stronger, because stat bloat on subpar units doesn't actually mean anything. Plus attacker advantage is huge in this game.

Nah, it's fine. Barely anyone knows what's going in this game, myself included. I have literally zero Ancestors, strict F2p, no rerolls either, my units are really really bad. I don't care about defenses. I don't even have TAmi or Seth, so it's not like I can build a 3rd robust team to be able to defend properly. I just get shufted at 8-10 place twice a day and get back to 3-5. You can't be challenged but anything below first ten places when you are that high, it's not like there is much going on there. Because of the way it works, it's a little broken if you nab a high rank in the first couple days when randomization places some shitters in good positions for you to stomp. Once you get to Legendary Gladiator, it becomes a lot harder to be knocked down a long distance since it only shows people two titles higher, and each title is way fewer people at that level. I started in the low 100s, got to 11th place for a little while, currently bouncing between ~13 and 25, depending on how often someone notices I'm way below the BP of everyone around me. F2P, started weeks after day 1, still stuck on 14-1, and have skipped multiple days. Anyone calling Crucible whale mode is wrong except for maybe about the top 5 spots or so.

I'm not that anon you were talking talking to. This game gives better players ability to have 4-5 higher tribute lvl and they start getting better gear faster. I enjoy the idea that I get 10-15% more resources and better equipment, than average player of my BP level, because I bothered to spend some time. It also helps better players to stay on top in PvP and PvE content and get more free currency. It is extremely satisfying and rewards players for being good at the game. It's a good design.

Sounds like you pulled almost everyone early. Just remember that a lot of end game content and PvP requires 3 teams so consider having all the go to characters on hand by the time they come around.
You need at least Lamia, Van Helsing, and T.Hati (Ancestor Coffin target) all leading their own respective teams as the main DPS. Use your coffins to fill any holes in those teams as you start building them.

I'm on the fence about that. Good characters definitely matter (but also have higher power levels to begin with) and power being so important does let you slam whatever you drew into content, but it makes doing something like bringing piera along for the summons boost seem entirely worthless. the attack speed/damage buff is massively eclipsed by the penalties from being in the red.

I like it better than nikke that you can sometimes swap characters and placement to squeeze out a win instead of just waiting for your stats to go up/to draw less shitty girls but by the same token it's feeling a bit like I'm fighting the debuff keeping me from killing enemies instead of the actual enemies.

FBella was a mistake. No tank will be able to withstand new Timeless Aiona and you can't even CC her, because of FBella's stuff. It'll just autowin any encounter except against itself.
The damage formula in this game was never supposed to have attack stacking unless they provide the same amount of def stacking to counter it. But since there are none, tanks become useless against it. It's one thing when the opponent's DPS has 6000 surplus of attack and it's completely different story, when it has 9000 on top of major damage boost and attack speed boost. Nothing can live through that. Tanks melt as fast as light armor was before.

This convinced me to do something relatively stupid but it worked out thanks to good luck. Was only going to one more copy of Lorelei but I ended up getting two in one multi. So then I fished for another. And since I already had Fleeting Bella with one dupe (through sheer coincidence) I fished for two more copies of her. Took about 100 pulls so quite lucky. Also decided to blow my blue moon stash since my luck was good and while I should have stopped earlier than I did I now have four vessels capable of breaking the 200, wall. I'm sure I'll get the 5th by the time I need it as I'm only level 133.

No shekels spent so far but I am tempted to get the Dalcarlo bundle.

I simply love Noah and Acapella together, their interactions on her intimacy lvls were my favorite above all others, and say that as a fujo who feeds on crumbs looking for my target ship in any game.
It's so playful and flirty, Acapella is so cheeky and i adore how Noah plays along with her plans, at first he acts uninterested, that her plans are crazy, but he always helps her. There's a nice mutual teasing between the two.
And by god i know why the women in this game love him. He's a catch, if you don't count the fact he's a twink... First and foremost, he has an actual personality, compared to most gacha games were the MC is made to be a blank slate for a self insert, i preffer the likes of Noah and Vertin way more. He teases quite a bit, but he has good social awareness, so he knows exactly when to stop, he's respectful and knows the compliments that each specific woman around him would like, behaves like a true gentleman (there's a tinge of a byronic hero? i can't tell for sure). A tad of a brooding nature, but not a deal breaker, he dwells in the past and present, never being fully taken by the past and keeps walking forward. Maybe bc of that he treats things with their exact emotional value. Like when Acapella takes him to her favorite place since she was young. He didn't diminished her for showing something deeply tied to her childhood (which she clearly values a lot).
I rate Noah a 8.5/10 husband, if he was just manlier he would be a 10/10.

That's skill issue plus RNG. That can be improved. You can't improve being one-shotted. Basically whenever you go against story encounters with and go against playable characters, you die 100% of the time without Aiona. Nothing can withstand character's ults on 20%+ deficit, only moving your party away in the exact moment. Only Aiona and Bella can keep your party push through higher content. it's literally impossible without them.

I was in the same position as you at most a week and a half ago. Honestly I stopped switching. Just made the 3 best teams I could, and put them in an order I didn't think most people would use, then targeted people opportunistically, when my second best is up against their worst. Now I'm comfortably inside the top 20.

I'm rank 2 in crucible in my group right now by both points and position. Yhe guy in #1 in my group is a giga whale with well over 250k bp and can't be beat by anyone in my group. The potential for Acapella is much better imo. I'm saving the normal coffins to immediately break the 160 wall once I have 3 vassals already at 3rd siphon, but I sort of want to use this one right away.
