None of the Necromancers have any synergy with Bard.
Necro/Bard is MAD and Necro benefits from just going pure necro
Cleric/Bard had insane spell overlap and is MAD
Spores requires 5-6 levels before you start doing necromancy stuff, but I guess a 6 Spores/6 Lore Bard wouldn’t be AWFUL. You’d be a Necromancer who buffs their summons and has… passable spellcasting
Hex/Bard is a more martial Necromancer, still get your Animate Dead but you also get the spooky Hexblade ghost
All of them are “viable” on anything other than HM, but none of them are going to be busted or particularly strong

Should I try talking/getting caught once I’m actually inside the Goblin Camp interior? I peacefully got in the courtyard and talked to a lot of people and then blew my way through the wall on the roof because the Ogre wouldn’t let me through and the inside seems much more strict.

I imagine they will still at most go “oi, you!” In their stupid Goblin voices and give you a chance to use your Ithilid power or some other check to get out of combat, but should I bother? Do I miss anything interesting, would it be better to scout the inside more?

I have a question about the Sentinel Feat.

The game says says when an enemy in melee range “attacks an ally” you can use it. Does this actually include ranged attacks from archers and spells from casters? I saw someone on Reddit say it didn’t work when they were next to an archer. I’d like to take it so I can use a tank to dissuade long range enemies from shooting the squishier characters, but if it doesn’t do that I don’t see the point.

Have any of you used it like this or know if it works before I take it?

Oddly enough she actually has approvals and comments in act 1. The creche and the underdark mostly, and with Ethel. There was a time where you could take her back there and she did talk about stuff. There was also a time after that where they made it so she stops you, but you could cast silence which prevented her from starting the "don't go back" dialogue which would allow you to bring her back as well.

She even had a couple at the goblin fort, which is of course funny. But I see why they eventually stopped you from taking her back, because none of the goblins commented on it even if you spoke to them as her. So rather than get a dozen voice actors back in the booth to record Minthara reactions they just made it so you can't bring her back anymore. This game has several really cool instances of attention to detail and making content only a dozen people will see, but there are also cases where they didn't and just cut things instead, and I don't blame them for this one.

Practically speaking, Crusader's Mantle is an efficient use of a spell slot to empower your party, especially since it can be precast. Shield of Faith and Protection from Evil and Good are also situationally good candidates for your Concentration spot. Bless frees up your Cleric to concentrate on Spirit Guardians. From a meta standpoint, the answer is that this is a roleplaying game. A game in which you are allowed and incentivized to roleplay a character - in this case, a warrior of faith - rather than always selecting whatever tops the DPR column of your spreadsheet.

I think you have to consider that BG3 is based off DnD and some people might build a campaign where it's crucial to cover your bases and have certain spells present.
BG3 did not do this, there is no situation in this game where you need to have this spell or you are completely fucked
Say you need to absolutely control some enemy else they will fuck your party, you are probably pretty glad for every character that can cast a CC spell like Hold Person or Command, because Saving throws are a thing.
Same thing goes for Lesser Restoration, if you encounter some unlucky fuck on your adventure that needs to be cured, you're glad to have lesser restoration.

BG3 simply did not do this or has a plethora of options to get around it, for the sake of ease of access and that players can reasonably complete the game without having a specific comp.

So how does the romance work in this game? How easy is it to miss? How early in the game do things have to be done? I’m on my like second or third long rest and I got a dialogue option for Shart that says “I can’t help but feel we might have missed a chance to TRULY connect”.

Most companions will approach you once you hit a certain approval level, though Shadowheart is one where you need to make the first move.
You can turn them down, which naturally blocks off the romance, though some companions may need another hint (looking at Gale).
You can start a romance with two companions in Act 1, then none of the origin companions will approach you and you're effectively locked into these two.

Treating cleric as a wizard with heavy armor proficiency usually works fine. Take light, death, or tempest domain and just kill stuff. spirit guardians and flamestrike are cool spells. Pile on a bunch of radiating orb gear and watch every enemy miss. A bunch of the domains get the best armor in the game and shields despite being a full spellcaster too because lol balance. idk, I don't think playing one of the best classes in the game is boring.

Unless you mean the classic issue across all videogames, of being too strong getting boring, in which case there are a bunch of mods or self imposed rules to make the game more fun and more difficult.
