I finished Morrowind for the first time. I totally loved the game. The lore feels kind of tragic for some reason. The game can get fucking scary sometimes. Kogoruhn traumatized me more than Dagoth Ur. I've never felt so much uneasiness inside a ES dungeon in my life.

Playing vanilla skyrim is really enjoyable still. I actually just played the game. (almost 10 hours straight) That's it. I didn't look at grass, or trees, or the texture work on the bricks or the floor. I didn't worry about my characters hair, or animations, or something bugging out. I didn't spend 9 hours doing free developer work. I just played the game and had fun. It was really nice. Mods really are borderline druggy/junky experience. Once you use even one, you're going use more and before you know it, you're not playing skyrim anymore. You're just doing mods, forever as you hawkeye every detail wondering what you need to change next. It still holds up on its own just fine.
