For example, another anon suggested to take People Squad and start Texas. You can actually just take MoM and Texas (with starting hope collectable), then you can rape the earlygame anyway without even needing the hope discount and get a bunch of free collectables, and then it doesn't matter what your recruitment permits are, you'll always have enough hope to make whatever you get work, if not E2ing Texas.

all you need to do is make other character-specific options more rewarding than dodging, giving DPS oriented characters a way to avoid dying while you're controlling them and also allowing for defensive-oriented characters to excel in that area. snowshine already had a block/riposte ability that was more rewarding than dodging, so i think balancing the reward of dodging with the ability of defender/supporter characters allows characters that have no damage mitigation to not instantly eat shit when an enemy attacks while rewarding the other characters for use of their mechanics. i wouldn't want characters to be screwed without the presence of specific character archetypes on the field, teambuilding restrictions are about the least interesting thing i can imagine.
Haven't seen or played Endfield but why is everyone complaining about dodge?
Isn't that present in Hoyoshit and core to the Souls series? I thought people liked this type of gameplay

you can't even dodge a bunch of the attacks in the game, this is something we've known since the public beta. only certain enemy attacks are able to be perfect dodged on a very small window, and only perfect dodges refund dodge stamina. most of the big enemy attacks require you to use other mechanics to avoid and dodging was almost worthless in most situations. the guy who made the video crying about the dodge mechanic didn't even have complaints about the current state of dodging in the playtest, his complaints were literal doomposting about "what if dodge becomes more dominant in the future" despite core mechanics prioritizing every other option over dodging. the funniest part is that all of this new complaining stems from a tiny section of a beta build that isn't even the public beta build, and the "SP on dodge" thing is a fucking lie from people who didn't watch the stream. we have no clue whether anything in the latest build is even something they're planning to keep, since it's not a build they're using for playtesting.
