In Ken's arcade mode, he doesn't recognize Terry at all... it's treated as their first meeting. Instead they really incorporate Ken's SF6 story into the Fatal Fury canon.

Frankly I actually prefer this. Though minimal, I like that Ken felt like he was actually incorporated into the world of Fatal Fury a bit more and less like a Dream Match Meta or just fanservice (though of course he is still that). So I like it more. I'm sure others will be weirded out though.

The only relevance and notable successes SNK has had the past few years is whenever they collabed with others. Like Nintendo with Smash. More recently Terry and Mai in SF6, and Ken in COTW. Which really just further cements the idea that Capcom should just buy SNK already. Since cotw and snk games alone can no longer carry this thread let’s discuss VF6. What I’m looking forward for is the new original characters. VF weakness was its cast, they’re boring and lame more so than cotw, and that’s a very deep low. But the problem is that VF6 is coming in the woke era, so this will influence them to fuck up. All SF great characters were from SF4 and before like Juri or C.Viper. This will be their biggest challenge.

Ken, overall, mostly looks good in COTW. At first I was unsure, seeing it as revenge for how Terry looked in SF6, but generally I've come around and feel like Ken mostly looks really cool in COTW in the SF6 costume.

I say he only fumbles if you zoom into his beard (which is lazily pasted on) and if you change to his classic costume. There's something about how his face is structured that only works with the SF6 beard, it doesn't work at all without it.

Oh, that's the only auto-combo? I'm using Shermie and I can only get 2 hits at most while standing and then have to cancel into a special or super. Her light kick doesn't seem to be able to cancel into her heavy kick, nor does her light punch combo into her heavy punch. Do all her combos involve jumping or canceling into/out from throws? I could have sworn I've seen videos of her doing some nice long combos. But her standing normals don't seem to cancel into each other. That'd be much worse, it's already bad in my opinion that both SNK and Capcom haven't moved on from "one single cutscene in the beginning, and you get a cutscene before the final fight and that's it" for their arcade modes. Wished more games took from Melty Blood when it comes to arcade.

Both SF6 and COTW having two modes dealing with two different time periods in the stories I actually think is a good idea, they're just not executed as well as it could be.

World Tour is the closest these games will get in having a good story mode.

It makes sense for SF6 to have two story modes, as one is for the main roster and another for the CaF avatars. It's the same thing you see utilized in sports games like the WWE2K series and other sports games like FIFA, NFL, MLB etc., that have a CaC suite built into the game.
But the thing is COTW does not have CaC, so it's just redundant to have two modes that has the same function as the story mode for the main roster. It's just another stupid decision from SNK.
