I think this might actually be it for strive. Probably other stuff they want to work on and they can put minimal support into the game. One major revision (like revelator), add some dlc characters, maybe some new costumes or whatever the fuck, drop some skins sometimes, and then start shilling tokon or damon and baby or whatever. As other people said 2.0 was the end of p4a, bbcf and bbtag, so Strive finally ends after 5 years (average lifespan for a fighting game iirc). I just realized something about Lucy in Strive and how her apparent travel through the Backyard may be important. Specifically when she points out how she's able to hack someone without any chrome. Since Lucy is a Netrunner who's able to regullarly hack Chrome that's embedded into people, it's possible that her hacking of the Strive characters may be her tapping into the Backyard itself. Specifically through her apparent connection to it with her travel. The main question is how her tech is doing this, as it may be considered magic in and of itself. As remember the saying, "Any sufficently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". And since hers may not count as 'Black Technology', I believe this may be the case.

In other words, Lucy may be directly tapping into the source code of the Backyard to hack organic people.

Anon, these are fucking JP devs. Their budgets have been constant since you were born. Programming is seen as a plumber-tier profession and game dev is seen as delaying your entry into real adulthood in a corporate job.
These people were paid absolute peanuts to make this. 3.5m yen ($23600) yearly salary for management kind of job.

Game budgets are in the stratosphere because even the most retarded ape in America can still land a corpo slave job with 6 figures starting and the sheer retarded amount of useless assets has them contract out a city worth of third world devs (which does slowly add up).
ArcSys has none of that. Outside of EN VAs, Unreal Engine license and Windowses, they might as well not know it's not 1999.

And regardless, the standards for what constitutes a “flop” for Arcsys are pretty low. Revelator sold like ass and it still led to Rev2 which was the only true flop.
It’s far more likely Strive gets at least few more years than 2.00 being EOS
