If they change the IPs in the code which any non retarded person would do, they can just go back to the existing DNS records and change the TTL. It absolutely overwrites the current values and I do this shit all the time at work when we do production cutovers / migrations. From the sounds of it, they instead either just deleted or even worse, modified the existing DNS rather than making a new record which is why they THINK they need to wait it out. In reality they could just revert to the old record values, change the TTL and push, then change it. Either way they're even more fucking useless than I initially thought
