This was a turn 14 or something vs bricked roach and if wasn't for odin+memorial i would have actually lost because he left a 9 damage roach on board and a bunch of other bodies after this and he healed to 6.

It's the only class that can keep up with Rune healing by dealing just as much damage as it heals. Abyss and Forest are the only classes that have a decent match up against Rune for a reason. I don't play aggro abyss but I'm good enough at midrange so I can give a decent advice. I don't know what you mulliganed but generally mull for 1, 2 and 3 cost. Your first evo turn was really bad I would never evo Vuella in that situation you gave your opponent one big target. You should have spread out your board by evoing one of the 1/1s you gave him an opening to play Tanoshi man. On Turn 6 I would coin Odin and ignore the Agnes rather than clearing rune has no damage other than in turn 10. The most they can do is 5 early on.

I think I chose vuella because I tunneled on 3 dmg ping from Anne but even that logic doesn't make sense.
It's an artifact from SV1 where a lot of the cheap removal was 3 pings so 4 is a bit of a magic number.
Not playing Odin was a real mistake I think i was prioritizing slow damage but since I could double Odin just full sending them would have been much more lethal.

You don't need those to beat sword, what you need is stall tools - more ways to clear their shit, more ways to heal. My best success against sword was with no-2-drop lists where almost the only damage you deal is by reanimating a lot of Mimis.

Is it just me or is going 1st against aggro way harder than going second? They can have key drops a turn earlier, and their games don't last past turn 7 99% of the time so having an early turn 7 is insanely strong with odin being a thing now.

Midrange Abyss is definitely not favored against Rune. You can outgrind slow decks, but if the opponent Rune doesn't brick, there's not much you can do since he has satan. Rune has multiple possible answers to any Abyss board on any turn.
The sword matchup is generally pretty easy for me so far, but that might be more the quality of the players rather than the matchup. I feel like my opponents could always have played differently for a better result. Master Diamond btw.

The second replay literally has them using a Norman to make golems because I did fuck all damage before the Norman came out btw. I then just did 17 damage in two turns and they didn't have the time to heal in between that.

The main reason I even tried this list is that CQCQ said it "messes up spell witch", and it's completely true in my experiences. Most of my few loses to rune are actually to pure dirt, dirtboost and spellboost are almost autowin with this list.
I later modified the list to add some Apollos to make the sword matchup more bearable, but it still wins against rune.
As for beating sword, picrel control abyss is the list I was beating sword with. Going all-in on stall and greed. But this loses to rune.

Overall card count over time should remain about the same at the current release schedule. The real issue is just that the meta itself is pretty whatever, Legends Rise had less cards but it was developing all the way until it ended in that one month.

We don't need more cards faster, we need a balance check and potential patch every 2 weeks. The one at the one month mark should be aggressive to flesh out the meta while the other two should only be done if the meta is particularly problematic.

no you don't have a chance to kill them, you will never go enough damage to forest to kill them in that time frame, only one deck in the game can do that
