So you'd get 18 seconds of set uptime for every Burn you inflict.

It takes thinking effort to build up a stockpile of the refined items, so don't worry about it.
Just grind what you are comfortabl with doing.

But it you want to mak th Yum Cha easier with a gigantic stockpile like me:
The same places you have ginded probably resulted in excess mats.
So you can just keep selling the itms you have huge inventory of while you gather the mats + produce the items you have fewer of.
There is no magic behind it, it's just common sense.

after saving like this for a while you'll be able to pick up another agent or two, hopefully reigniting your interest in the game

if you enjoy the game enough, you can run around with your favorite weak agents (say, billy lucy ben) and have a blast.
what you seem to care about it meta. yes, mono ice is the strongest build right now, be it hard to play. you have access to it, so you're free to get good at that. astra and ssanby would be a good second team, and you only need 6 stars on DA for the max poly count anyway.
but your problem is that not only do you not want to make your own fun in the game, not only do you want strong characters, but you also want them to have easy gameplay.

well, i hear yanagi is a big boost to miyabi, so consider picking her up.
i know that vivian is a very easy character to play, and good in any anomaly build.
ssanby doesn't have easy gameplay, you should've been able to see that in the tutorial before you picked her up.
her performance should be "fixed" with orphie and seed, but you'd need too many characters back to back. if you keep astra in this team, you could probably get away with just 1 of orphie/seed.

the highest amount of poly given is at anniversaries, so if you wanna drop the game and come back again, then consider doing that at the next anniversary, though you also did that and can see that it's not a substitute for actually playing the game.

Her Ultimate is a massive nuke, and her CAs out-DPS her BA strings, so during the actual burst, you're looking at something like 4 full BA strings + 2 CA + Ultimate + EX - the vast majority of damage would not come from BAs there.
From my experience, you'd do something like 30% of damage outside of the stun and 70% during the stun. You'd also be stacking up to 36% additional damage increase for BAs if she's C2.
So, disregarding factors such as Lighter and whatnot, you can rather safely assume you'll have over 100% DMG increase on your BAs. Realistically, WAY more than 100%, but let's stop at 100%.
100% of baseline DMG% increase would make 60% DMG you get from the BA set result in 30% multiplicative final damage increase for BAs only.
In comparison, the 28% CRIT Rate worth of stats (if I redistribute them while maintaining the ratio) is a 20% multiplicative damage increase for literally everything for my build, which is insanely high-end for an S11 - for most it'll be higher than that.
So, we're looking at ~8% more damage on BAs at the price of 17% less damage on everything else.
And there are many teams, where S11's DMG on BAs would go way beyond 100% DMG, potentially making IM better on BAs as well.

That's assuming The Brimstone.
But if you're running Nocturne, I doubt the BA set can compete even with Hormone Punk, let alone Inferno Metal, as Nocturne massively increases the value of CA and Ultimate.

Just S11 + Rocketboo have 70% uptime for Inferno Metal against Fire-vulnerable bosses.
Against Fire-neutral it's like 60~65%.
Both S11's CA and EX have very high Burn buildup, so it becomes only easier to accumulate Burn in a full team, disregarding the fact you could be running another Fire agent.
On top of that, simply having IM be active during her Ultimate would already curb the entirety of the effect the BA set can provide throughout the burst, and it's disproportionally easy to have IM be active during the Ultimate because the two CAs you'll be doing before that will build a lot of Burn.

Theoretically the idea for Alice is she makes Assault disorders less of a meme. A normal assault disorder scales off of a whopping 7.5% of the original assault, Alice adds a DOT effect that functions like burn so you get that huge damage.
In practice they play the same because Jane and Piper were running disorder anyway, mostly because Vivian, Yanagi, and Miyabi are so powerful Assault's failings don't really matter.

IM is the highest-value set in the game. Technically speaking, Fanged Metal and Thunder Metal effects match the value of IM but they both have worse uptimes.
You only need ~65% uptime on Inferno Metal to make it match the value of 2-stack Woodpecker, and to have 2-stacks active at all times you will have to actively make your rotation worse.

Running Woodpecker over IM is an old contrarian recommendation made by the people who didn't read the description of the set properly - most tend to think it's the same as Thunder Metal, where you need to have a Burn up to benefit from the effect and they don't realize there's an 8 second grace period after the Burn ends.
In real gameplay, the gaps between IM activations tend to be 2~4 seconds, and best damage rotations for S11 are naturally inclined to have IM be active during the burst, maximizing its value.

The only reason to run Woodpecker (or Hormone Punk) over IM is if you aren't planning on sticking with Soldier 11.
She's the only agent in the game who can use that set in her intended role.
You can also run it on CRIT Burnice and DPS Lighter, and you might be able to run it on Orphie when she releases, but Shadow Harmony for her is effectively the same value as IM but it effectively has no activation requirement.
Evelyn can't run proper discs with Inferno Metal, so the 4xIM is never worth it on her.

So you might as well farm Woodpecker instead because it's useful for everyone and not just S11.
