ehh, I lost interest in the Silver child angle when the series started being written lamer.
It was kind of fun thinking he was Sonic's descendant, and Amy being shown to have latent psychic abilities. So Silver inherited Sonic's super form, and Amy's developed psychic powers.
But now Amy's abilities are star science cause she had a fun trivia fact that she knew how to tarot read back in the 90s and the current writer is one of those vapid types that thinks your hobby has to take up your entire personality.
And Sonic's super form is no longer his own and now, "all male hedgehogs can do it" even though specifically there was a reason Shadow could do it, and X made an effort to point out how it was special.

Because playing a character without a super form is lame and always made you wish Tails and Knuckles could do it without needing to do an extra 7 special stages for hyper form.

Personal biases make me compelled to say that Silver might have been better if he was like Sans.

Between Sonic & Sans, there's a common root of "It Doesn't Matter". The difference being that Sonic's response is one of immediate action, while Sans' response is doing absolutely nothing.
Sonic says "It doesn't matter now what happens, I will never give up the fight."
Sans says "just give up. i did. why even try? you'll never see 'em again."

Both have a carefree attitude where they just live their lives doing whatever they want in the moment. But Sans' attitude is shaped by giving up, while Sonic never will. However, when the stakes are at their highest, and the world seems doomed for absolute destruction by an eternal lifeform that can not be truly defeated... Sans decides he can't afford not to care anymore, and he becomes the last stand against that demon. The last light of hope in a dark, dying world.

Just like Silver. Exactly like Silver at the very start of '06.

Silver right after beating Iblis in Crisis City, early in his story. Silver is expressing a sense of futility, that nothing he does matters, because in the end... Iblis will come back, and it'll be the exact same thing all over again.

So Silver at the very start of his story, and Sans at the very end of his story, are basically in the exact same position with the same mindset, and I just find that fascinating. So, I can't help but believe that it might have been far more interesting if Silver was a lot more like Sans, in how he was portrayed and written.

That way, Silver could have an actual dynamic with Sonic. Basically, what if Silver was like a version of Sonic who was at the cusp of giving up entirely, if not having given up already? But when all hope seems lost and the world is at the brink of total annihilation... He is the one who refuses to give up that last bit of hope, and will stop at nothing to make sure that evil will be burning in he

Silver's main trait of never giving up is almost too generic. Every main character that ever existed has this. If Silver and Sonic are trapped with no way out, what is the actual difference between them?

Silver should be "Sonic After Not Surviving". A version of Sonic whose been defeated, decimated, absolutely destroyed. Over and over and over. Sonic, from the Bad Future. A "Sonic" whose long since given up...

...Until you realize, that he hasn't actually stopped running. A light is still shining within, even if he doesn't realize it himself. But it's only in facing the REAL Sonic that this would actually be realized, and we see just how optimistic and full of hope he is, and how much he absolutely HATES evil and injustice.

Undertale is basically a very meta deconstruction of Video Game RPG mechanics, and uses that "meta" as the basis for its world and narrative.

"Save Points" are an actual thing, the player character has the in-universe ability to "save", "load" and "reset". But the overall point of the game begins and ends with "what if Video Game RPG monsters were full-fledged characters with lives and families?", and it explores the concept all the way through to the end. And now Deltarune is exploring a different angle and perspective of deconstructing/reconstructing video game elements.

"Kuudere" means "Cool Dere". Cool-headed, cold, etc.

But Blaze obviously isn't a kuudere by the simple fact that she is Nega-Sonic. And "Sonic" = COOL. Sonic is cool and aloof, even when he appears to be energetic and impulsive. Blaze is his opposite, so she is heated and passionate, even when she appears to be strict and disciplined. Sonic is an adrenaline junkie whose always chill and laidback while blasting through at light speed. Blaze is the inverse of this.

"Tsundere" is extremely accurate because tsunderes often have an element of insecurity where they feel very strong emotions but can't openly express it directly, making them very internally volatile whilst trying to maintain control. They refuse to be honest with themselves emotionally, and that is 100% Blaze the Cat's mindset and attitude.
