Recently tried a VN for the first time and find it highly enjoyable. Watching a quite interesting fantranslation (Di-Patch) of Chaos;Head on jewtube as I do not have access to windows at this time.
I’m amazed at the atmosphere this medium is able to to convey. Being able to read the protags internal monologue feels so much more natural than having a voice actor speak them. It combines the best parts of novels, anime, manga and games to carefully create the perfect means of conveying a story.
Makes me wonder why this approach isn’t more popular in the west.
