it's free on steam. it's aim training software but it gamifies it with leaderboards and benchmarks and shit.
you can pay for premium on it but that's a waste of money. the benchmarks are free and are good enough to tell you what you need to focus on. For instance my tracking was well below average, i did tracking exercises for a week and that alone boosted me to top 50%

and i started picking up on this when I checked support teammates stats vs teh enemy teams stats
the skill gap is so vastly different, its not even a contest. this is why i started noticing the severe drop off for decent healers the more i played this game, the higher you climb the worse the load gets, but coincidently enough it all started when i checked every single game i played in the last 24 hours and every single match had a higher deathcount between supports even on wins.

How would you fix the game? Regardless of anything else, losing 80% of your user base in less than a year is atrocious retention. Comparing it with Apex Legends, Counter Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege, DOTA and PUBG, Rivals has the lowest retention and lowest overall player count (except for Siege) within the same timeframe. Every other game also had better retention within their first year and within a year of their peak (whenever it was during their lifespan). Clearly something is going wrong.

My biggest issue with the game is the existence of bot matches. They are complete bullshit, they disincentivize actually playing casually because it punishes people for trying new things out. I'm not sure that would matter to the average player though.

Other than adding more Strategists and Vanguards they can do Role Queue. Outside of that I don't think you can. This game's hero design is fundamentally flawed. The "ideal" team combination is 2-2-2. Yet the game is littered with "off healers" and "off tanks". Characters that try to take a hybrid role but just end up not being as good as the dedicated archetype. A team with a Jeff and Ultron has an objectively inferior team composition than a team with a Luna and Sue/C&D. Same shit with tanks and it's why Mag/Emma/Strange are the go-to tanks in the game.

On top of this the devs have shown they are absolutely retarded when it comes to hero balance and that's likely intended.

It's kinda crazy that the games been out nearly a year and just had 2 modes for real games

The low ttk and high healing rate makes matches very snowbally and team dependent. It's also the reason why healing ults are such a big part of the meta. The result is that players feel like their individual performance doesn't have an impact on the game, and the game has less replayability to keep people coming back. feedback was overwhelmingly negative, most of the reworks were retarded and only like two of the tanks actually felt viable
blizzard took this feedback, threw it directly in the trash and then implemented 5v5 anyway
and thats pretty much where the game is at now, with the addition of some insane powercreep due to the new tanks all being designed as solo tanks and thereby having mitigation and/or damage far in excess of what every other tank is capable of, basically just being two characters stacked on top of each other

No, that's how live service free to play games work. Games don't maintain their highest peaks and with time drop a significant number of players until it settles into a stable number.
Considering how hard the chinks have dropped the ball, MR actually maintains impressive numbers.

Secondly, current and 24 hour peaks are the most useless numbers when it comes to live service games because a vast majority of players only play maybe 2-3 times per week at odd times and days of the week.
During my time at Hi-rez I got to look at a lot of data for both their games and competitiors games and even getting weekly retention to 2 days per week was a big achievement.

This season in MR is the worst one by far and the one prior wasn't much better. What MR needs is a strong season with a strong battle pass, good event and at least 1 big hitter hero.

Which isn't the case. The ironic thing however is that because of standard things like behavior score, leavers, people that get tilted easily and talk shit in chat, people that blame others in chat and so on get lumped together because they have poor behavior scores.
It's also human bias. When everything proceeds like normal, it doesn't stick out and you don't remember it. When something goes wrong or something you don't like happens it sticks out. Your mind then tries to look for a pattern, even when there isn't one.

That's partially because they're not actual pros, but glorified pub players and this game being very shallow.
Heroes can't really be played in different ways, different lineups don't have specific synergies or interactions, there aren't a whole lot of different approaches to take when game modes are just koth or escort.

Looking back I have to say that most of the c&ds and rockets I got on my team were not good at all, they were just healbotting and dropping their ultimates in horrible situations.
Like for some fucking reason most healers would counter a healing ult with their own ult and if you were playing a team that had good dps ults (psylocke, hela, starlord) they would just follow up and wipe everyone effectively being fed free kills.

I dont get why so many players even at that SR wouldn't just back up and wait for a defensive ult to end and then play somewhat loosely. The best teams were the ones who just moved back, healed the damage the enemy team tried to get in during their little pseudo invincibility ult and then continue playing.

Watching the tournament and I know that the Mantis winrate is truly being pushed up by China/Asia countries.

Except the hero sits at sub 50% winrate at all ranks, not even being in the top strategist winrates.
C&D is good if you make good use of Cloak's abilities, which doesn't happen in coordinated matches. Which makes the hero subpar. 99% of all C&D players primarily heal with Dagger's M1 which is atrocious healing and then also use their ults offensively 'for the damage'.

I have a theory that part of the reason why comp games feel awful compared to quickplay is because payload games go for two rounds instead of one. See with one round, if it’s a stomp, it’s over and don with quickly. If it’s not a stomp, both team’s sweat it out, and regardless of whoever wins, the game feels good because you all feel like you have a stellar performance. But then when you add a second round to that tight match, everyone is likely to be exhausted so there’s a high chance someone slips up and that second round turns into a stomp for one team. Suddenly the good feelings are instantly wiped and the overall match becomes another one to add to the pile of shitshows. So while 2 rounds got payload maybe more balanced, I firmly believe that one round is the more enjoyable experience.

Adam does pretty good healing. His cooldown can allow the whole group to shrug off a Iron Man ult. He can out DPS actual DPS heroes. He has a self res. His alt is a mass res that lasts for some time and it charges really fast. You can get 3-4 of them off in a match if you actually use it often instead of waiting for the perfect moment to bring the whole team up.

His weakness is that he has no mobility, his heals are limited to cooldowns and is very easy to kill. You also MUST have good aim with him to be effective.

damage, damage ultimates, healing, healing ultimates COOLDOWNS and stuns need a nerf across the board. the whole game feels like shit to play, tanking is garbage because you cant step 5 feet ahead of you without getting instastunned and sniped by dps and supports in an instant

All the range characters have a massive advantage over heroes that need to be face to face to deal damage which is leading to the devs buffing tanks ie cap, thing with more health which leads to bigger problems for team comps that aren't range damage oriented

healers like invis girl are retardedly broken for pocket healing, the relentless shield spam is undoubtedly OP because it absorbs ultimates regardless of how much health it has (it could have 1 health and block wanda's ult magnetos ult etc)

Loki should be the same but his ultimate is a copy so it should o nly be 70% as effective as the original
luna copy - 7-8 second ultimate
iron man - 25% damage nerf to ult etc
