If your orb starting volatile earth is only a tile above or below the end node, you can stand diagonal and pre fire to trigger the orb, that way you're walking in a straight line and only have to prayer flick. Yes its horrible design because if its more than two tiles diagonally to start or you get unlucky with a b2b boulders or not enough space for all the shockwaves or oops ground boulders screwed you, you're basically fucked. Love that the counter play is use a zcb and tbow to skip it. Jagex could have made it infinitely less aids and more engaging by making it so the screeching the boss does to signal it will shockwave soon starts a tick earlier, or make it so the moment you get the xp drop the earth orb spawns, or not put fucking exploding boulders during the phase anyway, or make the orb mimic player pathing, or spawn more volatile earths in the room so you can sacrifice dps for survivability. Anyone who says use a tick counter can go fuck themselves. I want to play the game, not use a plugin to play for me

i only say it because i think making it an achievement in the karamja diary will make more people take it seriously and try for it. it being an achievement in the diary makes it less of a stretch goal and more like something that feels required to do. and i agree you could make the karamja elite rewards much better as a result though id struggle to come up with a good way to do it, i do think making the double brimhaven tickets more likely or guaranteed would be a good start
