If there was a good alternative I'd drop epoch in a heartbeat because devs' behaviour and results so far tell me this server will be a shitshow for months, if it ever launches at all.

The problem is that there's 0 alternatives out there especially if you're a PVP focused player like me.

Turtle WoW's pvp realm is dead with 1 hour long queues, their other realms are years old and full of T3.5 heroes destroying newbies which leads to people skipping pvp gearing + competing for r14 with the unemployed and holiday kids is literally impossible + changes introduced on this server verge on funserver mode, not classic+.

Same goes for ascension servers, more like funserver than classic+ and there's also the whole aspect of their servers being pay to win or pay for convenience.

All other servers struggle to amass a playerbase.

Turtle WoW is literally the worst server in the scene right now if you want to do PVP and don't care about their funserver carebear PVE content.
Hybrid classes reached dps/burst levels of warriors and rogues but they're still hybrid classes with all of their utility, healing, etc. Server was dominated by paladins onetapping u while healing to full with holy light, now it's the shamans doing the same, druids are also strong af. Prot warrior is obsolete when all other tank specs do 3 times the damage due to dogshit balance, rogue is obsolete when a feral druid matches their dps while having insane pvp utility like faerie fire and the ability to turn into an unkillable tank on the spot.
Then you have the original R14 grind which in their defence they did nerf by slowing the rank decay but it's not good enough if you're not a neet who can grind for those r11-r14 ranks. The PVP gear is a fucking joke anyway because the server has insane custom PVE gear that makes the R14 shit obsolete.
Like there's 0 good/positive things to say about PVP on turtle wow and the devs are so fucking clueless on what to do with it that they create forum posts asking for feedback from players, but since the players consist of mentally broken trannies (I'd say at least 60% of turtle wow community is lgbtq+ and u can verify this by staying on discord for an hour) no one actually provided any feedback for them.

If there's anything to learn from this failed project is that the changes they were aiming for are extremely popular and sought after, because apparently both blizzard and private server devs are too fucking retarded/greedy to introduce things like:
- faction queues on pvp realms
- improved/balanced itemization with tier sets for all specs
- fix meme specs in a sensible matter (no funserver shit, copying talents from TBC where they were at least playable)
- Add custom content that doesn't feel like funserver shit
- Add PVP/honor rework to remove the need for R14 grind or the sweaty arena environment
- Add harder PVE content but keeping it in the spirit of original bosses (reworks to encounters instead of adding a bunch of funserver shit)

Like just copy those ideas and your server can also be under siege by 50 000 classic+ junkies.
