I know one of the devs and just want people to know that the latest batch of testing went great and they are conducting additional tests after enabling some additional logging and things are looking really good with internal tests the server capacity is looking really good and the latest tests are showing a lot of positive really good results so people shouldn't be doomposting that much as things are looking really good.

I've been watching all of this for a while now, and it's pretty heartbreaking seeing how people are treating the Devs. They're working bloody hard, and it's a free game. They have lives too, and there's medical matters they need to attend to.
Please show some empathy - these are real people with a passion who's doing something to provide us all with a game to play.
Things happen, and we'll be able to play when we can play. They don't have the monetal backing of Blizzard but are going to put out something that Blizzard aren't imaginative to do so. They're listening to their community. When it happens, it happens.

Exactly, and then shelved for vanilla and three expansions, since cutesy Pandas do not fit into a gritty European Medieval fantasy world. And it's not just the Pandas. The entire MOP island just feels off. I don't want Far East Chinese themes in my World of Warcraft.

So it's really that simple. MOP had some great systems but ultimately failed because a) the theme SUCKED and b) 6 talent points sucks for anyone that enjoys the leveling process.

I level 6 level 85s in Cata and then In MOP I quit after a single 1-90 run and trying early end-game. Being in Panda land was such a stark departure from Vanilla, Outland, Northrend, and Cata's Azeroth, that I simply didn't want to spend an entire expansion running around in Ancient China. That concludes my nuanced treatise on why MOP is not for me.

I seriously will start reading up on doing something like this, watching Epoch crash and burn due to hubris and mismanagement when they have a good thing going has made me so irrationally angry that I want to pick up a hobby and see if I can try and do better. Some of my ideas so far:
