The requestee said that I could incorporate the instrumental songs chosen in more of a vibe/aura-based way rather than an literal way. The first two songs also reminded me of the Saya No Uta OST too so that's another part of inspiration for the premise.

I'd likely call it (in-)character narration or something similar. I'm not sure it's formalized. Tone and diction refer to word choice and style more broadly so adding words on to that might help you find stuff.
