Getting tents is actually pretty easy as it turns out.
If you're horde, you can just take the zeppelin to Grom'gol, run into the wilderness, die, and spirit res right next to the trainer. I'm guess alliance does something similar by swimming down the river between Westfall and Duskwood. After the recent patch you don't need to do a quest for it anymore, it can be trained just like a normal profession.

I've been playing this game since TBC but I've always had this chronic problem of leveling a new character after hitting max level or just doing random casual stuff in the world. I have never stepped foot in an actual current-content raid because the gearing up and group-finding process always felt so daunting to me and has always filtered me.
Well, during BFA I did do some normal mode raid pugs. But aside from that-!
What servers have the most dirty, casual dad-core communities that don't autistically check your gear score and enchants and gems and make you pay six million gold in consumes because they don't care that the raid takes several hours longer on normal mode?
I am also a European who works weird night shifts and that has oftentimes presented a problem.

I’m here to try out Ambershire. Just came from Epoch and very dissatisfied. The gameplay and leveling feels very off. They made players weaker. Half your spells get resisted by mobs and over damage feels lower.

What's a good amount for actually playing on the server at all levels?
I tried opening it up first time, and this is what happened. I had it set to 8000 max bots.
When I tried 2000, I couldn't even get together a 20 man raid because there were so few level 60s.
I'm pretty sure this wasn't exactly supposed to happen, and after a server reset the numbers mellowed out a bit, but it's still a lot.

The new bosses are pretty decent to fight outside of the dwark king one being cancer to deal with especially if you have VFX off and can't see something that's crucial for his fight mechanic. i think it's great overall and the new fights are nice and are good early lessons. The lizard teaches people to run, golems to switch and thaurissan to soak or run depending on debuff.

Genuine question: why do people WANT 10k players on a server? The game isn't made for that.
I play on Tel'Abim (because I think cross-faction is gay) and the population is fine. 2-3k is more or less what retail servers were like back in the day.

i find bugman population to be quite disspiriting desu. I like having to approach open world situations with some care, packs of mobs become scary, caves are dangerous naturally not because of hyperspawns, you can make progress into a cave or town without the mob you just killed spawning on top of you again etc

Shaman is the usual answer since it's always in demand historically and you can pivot to different roles. I'm not certain if that'll hold on Amber though since tons of people started Shaman. There are never enough warlocks ever so that should be safe enough. Priest is the other contender. One of those three for sure but it's hard to be confident about anyone on a new server.

I genuinely believe that epoch will have poor longevity and will bleed to turtle wow over time as people get to max level and see very little new content compared to twow, in combination with fewer updates on the horizon, especially when (if?) the unreal engine update comes out which will cause an absolute hemorrhaging. Me too. The devs have indicated that they're cognizant of this specific concern but I'm skeptical that they can pull it off.

On that note, it's incredible how good WoW feels to play despite being a tab-targeting MMORPG. Everything else, to this day, feels like floaty shit and somehow WoW has (some) actual weight to it.
