Gas grenades to keep the horde tied up, fire grenades work too.
Rapid fire primary to kill both voteless and overseers, their armor negates every first hit, so there's pretty much no way to one shot them, with anything short of a 500kg bomb. Concentrate fire on single body part and don't waste your bullets by switching from mid body to legs or arms, just aim at the legs from start.
Fleshmobs are high health unarmored damage sponges, I'd keep a laser cannon ready for them if I was you.
Tripods have shields that regenerate, either rapid fire weapons or laser cannon them.
Aim for leg joints or eye with HMG or whatever anti-tank weaponry you have, once the shield is down.
Interlopers (strafing fighters) have medium armor, so medium pen primaries can fuck them up, otherwise a single shot from any AT-weapon will wreck them.
Leviathans, the flying nuisances are high armored damage sponges, that take two RR shotts to blow up a portion off of it.
You need a whole RR and then some to take one down, they also respawn.

Don't ramp the difficulty too quickly, D10 is certainly doable with the starting gear but only if you're experienced. Bugs will improve your movement while bots will improve your aim. The reason you shouldn't play Squids is because there's very little difference between low level Squids and high level Squids which makes their low level much harder and their high level much easier. The first warbond you should save for is Democratic Detonation as it contains 3 meta weapons.

Queso is good enough to handle chargers and the occasional titan while also maybe getting lucky on the bile dragons. If it's an outside mission I may forego the gun dog and bring a RR because there's going to be a bajillion dragons. Emancipator is a panic button/cave objective solver, and Eagle Strafe is just too good out in the open, while disposable napalm is probably the best option to cut off a tunnel from chaff overrunning you. Keep spamming PP for diggers and you have a contained swarm.

The Shotgun and Assault Rifle are both solid and "viable" if you care about that.

The shotgun and AR are competent weapons. They aren't amazing, but they aren't bad. The SMG and Pistol are kinda weak and their suppressed gimmick is either not really working or it has such little impact that it may as well not be working. The armor is surprisingly not shit in this operation because it allows you to not pay the broken legs tax when a bug sneaks up on you and either sends you flying across the map or tries to break your kneecaps.
I'd still bring siege ready or acid resist armor but the halo armor is not actually bad for some reason
