There should be group mental breaks to simulate chimp outs. Pawns with certain genetics should be more predisposed to it, like aggressive pawns will start tantrums and fire starting sprees if an aggressive pawn gets executed even if they are deemed "Guilty" and are from an enemy faction.

Probably not. Such a fundamental change to how the game works is unlikely. The ancient vaults from Odyssey are probably the closest we'll get, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's somehow expanded, but I doubt we'll ever have fully-integrated z-levels with interactivity (i.e. shooting down from one z-level to another).

Some users in the steam workshop page for the mod says it's a bug, triggered by mixing premade and custom races. Basically the game is rolling the odds of the custom phenotype twice, and multiplying them.
So for example, if you were to generate a faction 80% yttakin and 20% custom, you'll get instead

It's more about finding your own fun in the game. The game's ending is meaningless, unrewarding and lackluster. Following the game's basic "goal" aka achieving one of the game's endings is boring and the vanilla's best way (arguably most efficient and only valid way) to fight against threats is an extremely boring killbox
The DLCs won't magically bring the "I'm having fun" part if you don't have any goals yourself.
Basic playthrough, no plan, no mods, will provide you way less fun after you already beat the game once because it's extremely basic and repetitive. Oh man a raid lemme line up my pawns in the killbox and then go back to waiting for the ship to launch. It's a bore.
Without self-imposed restrictions, challanges, interesting playthrough ideas the game will be insanely boring.

Im repeating myself, but you won't get far with Vanilla. You must build a killbox. The less your defenses look like a killbox, the bigger chances you have for casualties. Anyhow, remember to utilize smoke pops, psycasts if you have them, shield belts, mortars and low-shield packs. Stuff like smoke launchers will obscure mechan*id turrets so you can use them to reposition too
Combat mods are way more interesting than killboxes, allowing you to make semi-realistic defenses and them being actually viable. CE, VCR, Yayo are good combat mods
