Some races are just better than others.
Some races exist purely so that snowflakes and hipsters have something weird to play and those races do not need to be competitive.

It is absolutely fine for some races to ahve good racials and some races to have shitty racials, that is part of the choices you make when playing an RPG and stuff like whether you play "meta" or play an "rp" choice is on you not the game. It is absurd to suggest that all races should have racials of precisely balanced value. The only way to accomplish that is to make the racials so generic that they may as well not exist. At the same time those racials not existing would be a serious loss to the flavor and roleplay end of things.

Perhaps you should simply not sperg out about 1% dps.

The point is that as a healer, if your damage is the clutch for clearing than your dps need to get better. Healer damage has never been a measure in being able to clear anything. It might help kill an add a bit quicker or get a slightly faster clear time, but will never be required if your dps aren't braindead. Things encounter wise have changed far beyond how things were even 8 years ago when I went on break. Now even normal raid feels like bricks being thrown at my head while everything is on fire.

Even though it's been talked about a lot already, the community and how it treats people also affects engagement. I'm reluctant to do any heroic raiding or keys above +4 because people have been so nasty to me in season 1. this season i have yet to see a single healer doing any kind of impactful or meaningful damage at all. best i saw was probably some shamans pulling like 1-1.2 mio on total, when dps were at 5-7mio, and me as a protwar was at 3-4mio.

Yes no shit, in my amirdrassil splits when I played DH i was like giga fucking geared because DH was super meta at that point in time and a main character class. My raidbuff bots didn't get 4p until w3 even with splits because its contingent on loot actually dropping. Acting like its very normal and expected that you be 4p at w1 is a straight up lie for average MYTHIC raiding guilds ( if you are doing splits you are already sub w100 or clinically retarded as a guild).

The power of tier this tier made me reconsider doing multiple of my class just for GV chance proccing tier. Even in a w100 guild doing splits you can literally look at their w1 and multiple people dont have 4p.
