Samurai get a passive where their attacks scale off both atk and mag. Testing shows that 1 atk = 1 mag so a samurai with shit mag isn't necessarily bad if they make up for it in atk. But my opinion is you should focus mag on sam so you can also teach them spells.

Honestly besides Sam v Fighter shitposting I think the biggest winner of the 2H change is Arboris, he deals a fuckton of damage with Astral Break bow now and he gets even more value out of the action speed passive + his temp buff being the only aspeed boost that stacks with porto.
