depends what you mean by pvp. it's hard to say anything in general since the meta with the new mystic enchant shit isn't remotely established yet, but going off of wotlk which this is based on, hunters are not great in arena but really good in bgs. in 3.3.5 hunters are probably the best class in bgs simply because they have a huge range advantage and they do big damage

You don't drop your gear automatically. Whenever you die you pay for your gear insurance basically (around 1-2 gold at ilvl 47 for me). You only drop shit from your bags and the only way to get it back is by looting your own chest after you die.

Layering on this server is flat out ridiculous. Decided to do the Defias Brotherhood questline on a new character for a decent bit of xp and after 10 minutes of waiting for the messenger to spawn I decided to head out only to find him popping into existence after I left Moonbrook and sure enough. Killing him and waiting for him to appear again he does spawn normally but getting too close to Moonbrook proper causes him to disappear. A similar problem occurs with the Defias Traitor who never appears in Sentinel Hill but can be seen there from outside the proper layer for Sentinel Hill.

Not a custom zone, but there's a custom quest in searing gorge that rewards an on use slow fall trinket. Pretty good pickup for everyone obviously. It's in the underground area where you do the pillow quest, there's another giant purple pillow you have to grab and take back to thorium point.

I just opened all my leveling boxes and caches. The green and blue boxes gave me up to blue gear ilvl 65 while I had equipped 62, the caches however gave epics ilvl 61 just like you got.

So probably 61 is the max you can get from caches.

Alright, i advise everyone to do this whole quest chain in the custom zone in Azshara.
It's kino and left me feel feelings. It's long, about ~20 quests, with solid XP and multiple good looking transmog pieces.
Also bestowed the priest transmog set that my Undead doesn't do justice but some female character will.

Starting quests are in that zone itself.
So you just go there (arrow points the way basically) and do all the quests you find there.
Couple of times you will have to fight elite mob, and i managed to band with a player or two for that, so it's not that much of an issue.
It will send you to fly around the world a bit too, so don't worry.
By the end of the chain there will be no uncompleted quests left and NPC will give you 4 transmog pieces and also offer to get one of the 4 purple necklaces.

rogue early game enchants are all raiding or endgame bonuses, they hardly do anything for leveling or even PvP

This is only good for raiding.
Say you have 20% crit chance, that means on average 1 out of every 5 SS are going to crit which means 1 out of 10 SS are going to give a second combo point, and that combo point is wasted when you already have 4 combo points, so its in practice less than 1 extra combo point per 10 sinister strikes (on average). Say mobs typically take 5-6 SS to kill, so every 2nd mob you maybe get a second combo point, on average. That second combo point will add like 10% damage to your eviscerate. So its a conditional that for every second mob adds around 10% damage to one ability.

They just feel too cartoonish for me. Too overly animated and it's the same issue that things like Pokemon had where things feel to "soft" and they took all the angry eyes and replaced them with cutesy eyes. Monsters feel less monster-y, animals feel less feral, etc.
The quality of the models is fine, but it just doesn't feel like Warcraft for me so I'm adverse to using them.
