Every time I get the urge to play kingmaker I get to kingdom management and then quit

do I have an infinite amount of time before doing the coronation to make the stolen lands a full fledged country or am I timed on that too. I have likev4 companion quests to do and 5 backlogged barony upgrades and I still need to go to the cursed island to find the cleric guy

I want a hybrid of Sims 4 and a CRPG in some fantasy setting with various fantasy races fromhumanoid ones to maybe some more exotic things like gorgons. Where you can interact with NPCs in it with your party who are treated like a household in sims and of course the party can interact with each other and form friendships, rivalries, romances same with NPCs. It would have Turn Based Combat and dungeon crawls just like in other games, but with that sims element with NPC interaction, with it affecting some quests (like if you're friends with someone he might help you out for free instead of charging or asking you to do something in return). There would be a main story, but also a lot of sandboxing like in TS4, so you could just spend a long time in the town just living, doing odd jobs forming various relationships and stories in social events like they have in TS4, but adjusted for a fantasy setting, both with civilians or with guilds/factions.
How would you anons feel about this? Do you think it's good/has potential or shit idea in of itself and/or would flop because no one would like the concept even if done well? And if you like it which setting do you think this would somewhat fit (or would require OC)

It's a good idea since it gives endless replay value if it's trully like ts4. I think it would sell well, it would attract a ton of women too, since they are the primary audience for sims.

I don't think any of the xenos guns are particularly good. If someone knows some trick to make them do anything, please share. Dark Lances are lascannon equivalents, which in any of the various tabletop games, instantly kill anything they hit. They just hit one target and maybe kill it if it is the lowest tier scrub in RT. So far Abelard, Casia and Idira are carrying hard. Still haven't found a decent weapon for Argenta, and still a few profit factor from getting her the heavy bolter. Pascal basically just waits for a few of those expose things to stack up so he can one-shot using a sniper.

You're probably on to something, a genderswap mod that leaves everything virtually the same except some romance scenes and the name being switched to female would really be easy to make, relatively speaking.

And only streamers and the illiterate need VA in text heavy crpgs, almost every dialogue that has it is improved with its removal with only a couple exceptions.

In WotR during Act I I finished all the quests and can attack the garrison before cultist attack, however after I got the rewards I cancelled the attack because I wanted to do other quests first. After a few rests I got the prompt that cultists are attacking the tavern regardless, can I do event or is it going to break some quests (because I technically already completed it)?

It seems to me that there's a lot of under-the-hood conditional checks in the SR: Hong Kong dialogues. I'm still early in the game but have already seen a few times where it seems previous actions and responses are considered in dialogue responses. Absolutely not. A marine will easily kill a rogue trader in a matter of seconds. You also fight certain deamons (that I won't spoil) who would also kill your entire retinue in a matter of seconds. The videogame is fantastical, in a setting that is already fantastical. Owlcat likes to fluff up the player character in all their games.

Rogue Traders have access to the highest quality gear and augmentics money can buy, including xenos tech and illegal tech, but at the end of the day they're still just humans with some fancy augments and nice gear. You should read about the process of becoming space marine, and what they're armed with as well, and you'll know the answer is that the fight wouldn't even last 30 seconds.

The point of space marines is that they're rare and tragic. Planets of billions of souls are intentionally put into hellish conditions just to breed hardy stock of whom the hardiest is picked before they even fully form as a person and put through an even more harrowing process just to ultimately have a 50% chance of dying of genetic incompatibility/loss of technology even if they pass all the trials. Then this level of suffering continues until you're dead, possibly for centuries, because things are really that bad and the Imperium needs you. Absolutely, also take the feats for more slots when possible. You should aim for never fighting a fair fight and having them flee as much as possible (you still get XP and loot). I think you can almost get to Drezen without a single actual fight.

I also don't think it's quite as terrible as people depict it here, at least at first while it's new. I had a bit of fun with it personally, felt that it broke up the gameplay in a nice little way.

Just finished the demo. It was pretty fun but I did encounter a few bugs. It turned out to not really be a crpg, but it has a story, choices, classes, leveling, good turn based gameplay, a few skill checks that do depend on stats, and persistent character development, so I'm not anal about genre definitions.
