To my knowledge there are 2 community patches, one is a semi-official patch by hrust and the discord troons who allegedly chased hi_flyer out of the community, no idea what’s happening with it now. The other one is people's patch which gets regular updates with creator posting the changelogs on the forum, it's available right now. I think it tweaks some texts or dialogues, so westoids might need someone to translate the new text. And yes it disables diseases and other retarded vasyan shit.

so, how's everyone doing?

I tried anomaly a few weeks ago, liked the integrated maps, crafting seemed liked an interesting idea, and having new missions is always nice.
I didn't like crafting in how it has tons of new items (which become hell to keep track of), the RF missions, and how generally empty the zone feels, also the camps felt really static (always mercs in wild territory, always military in x18 entrance).

So my question, is there any mod that makes factions more dinamic, or at least not as predictable. Fixes or somewhat simplifies a bit the crafting system and has questlines?

I saw some videos on gamma, zona and anthology but I really don't know which one to pick if any.

Any experience you can share is gladly appreciated, thanks

I haven't really been following the buildo circles, but I don't think what they were asking for is bullshit "hardcore" mechanics like hypothermia, radiation contaminating half of your inventory or retarded limitations like being unable to run with your weapon out, which is what most people give him shit for. It's a shame that it doesn't have any freeplay elements or functioning A-Life, it's cutscene galore, and that it feels like Metro. Just finally finished Stalker 2, and I'm shocked it unironically made me change my mind 100% to support Freedom over Duty.

My point is that both factions are sell outs and and have lost all influence they had in Stalker 2. Effectively, at least before all the shitshow at SIRCAA, the Ward rules the Zone. Freedom has managed to thrive because they shifted from being fighters to being merchants, dealers and gamblers. Duty at least tried to keep mutant hunting but Voronin clearly is a weak leader that likes to suck Ward cock.
Both factions are still alive because the Ward permits it. Mykluha knows this and that is why AFAIK he has to be very careful when he wants to undermine the Ward so that it doesn't blows up in his face. There are some PDAs that talk about that.

I totally agree. Rostok is smack dab in the center of the Zone, it really should have been more intertwined with the story. Specially with how it is told of you directly that people trade in information and items in Rostok. I would have liked having to do some quest for both Duty and Freedom to advance the main quest, because as it is both factions are basically non existent, You can technically never walk into Rostok and and Cement Factory and you would still finish the main quest.
I still think it's cool conceptually that the factions fell off that hard. But the execution is boring.

It just came to my mind that radiation in the entire stalker series is a non issue and basically stops existing after 1/5 of every game. Antirad drugs are everywhere and artifacts mitigate it so much that it turns into more of an environmental "aesthetic" instead of a danger
I know all games in existence and almost all media in general get radiation poisoning wrong and that's fine because realism would be too annoying to code/simulate.

i've seen some semi-accurate jacket cosplays, but nothing 100% faithful. the in-game jacket is strange, it looks similar to afghanka windbreaker jackets, but at the same time appears to be and is described as leather. there are some autists in the russian community who are trying to figure out what real pieces of clothing and other stuff the models from the trilogy were based on, they have managed to find the exact type of a shoe that some rookies wear, what model of a watch the ones they wear in-game was based on, their belts and the canteen strapped to it, but the jacket is still an enigma.
