Support players in general are the most likely to be mean and cruel or to have a sense of entitlement about how good their teammates should be, especially Mercy players, also Moira players are more likely to be like umm what is my team doing??? specifically. The original OW devs were too interested in highly novel/quirky designs to be satisfied with a character based on a basic quake shotgun, but now that Queen has it they don't want to change Roadhog's into that. The only thing besides that I can think of for taking away the one shot is turning it into a double-barreled shotgun with a really fast reload speed that does enough damage to still have about as much effective range as JQ but getting hit by both shots point blank is absolutely devastating like hog is now.

I do think Blizzard could take things in a better direction if they made their buffing/nerfing/tweaking/etc. more difficulty-centric. By that I mean scale the power of different stuff in the game based on how difficult it is to pull off/execute. I think as you point out Winston is a good exmaple of why that makes the game feel better. That's already there to an extent, like with Hanzo's storm arrows cooldown being one of the smallest projectiles in the game despite the shooting logs meme, or Moira's right click not doing *as* much damage as a Tracer or Sombra gun if you're mostly hitting your shots though it still feels like too much, but I feel like if they took it further across the board it would make the game feel better overall. They could even get CRAZY and buff Moira damage but make her aim, make Reaper require more aim (less damage on him would feel kinda sad D:), make Junkrat's concussion mines more plentiful but a bit less damage on a second weapon that you have to switch to and reload just like his normal nades. He would be less countered by flying that way, and he would have higher kill/damage potential without the cheesy oneshot combo. Another example, take away the RNG on Freja's left-click so that it's always accurate, but reduce the ammo significantly. That one's so obvious I can't believe it's already like it. Wouldn't both Freja and Freja's opponents have more fun with less spammable but more reliable shots?

Winston is my 2nd most played hero, and It's easier to identify his bad maps than his good ones, cause unless the map has stuff that makes it hard for Winston I just like to think of it as good to play Winston. Flat + forced to cross long horizontal distances = bad for Winston. The quintessentail "bad for winston" areas to me are like Busan Sanctuary or the first point in Havana. Basically when you're forced to allow people to look at you from outside of your threatening range in order to contest anything. Another good way of thinking of it is "Ram is good at this spot so Winston isn't". If you were to play 2 tanks, they make a good combo, cause they are good in areas where the other is weak. Ramattra is great in Havana first point and Busan Sanctuary, and he sucks on Gibraltar first point
