Did I mention he's also a master diplomat who manages to solve every political problem off screen just so the plot can go forward while filling in for the King of Stormwind.
His diplomatic skill is so amazing that he managed to convince the Blood Elves to let his son live in their city, despite the fact that his wife and her sisters are the some of the biggest enemies of Silvermoon has had in recent years.

Especially with the Amani stuff and them possibly being added to the Horde I could see the Blood Elves deserting for the Alliance, just like they almost did during Garrosh's time as Warchief.
But this is a video game with character characters on the Horde, so I doubt they would do this. Instead they will probably just make Blood Elves as a race Neutral and have you choose Quel'Dorei or Sin'Dorei similar to Pandaren.
Not sure what they would do about Void Elves, none of them are in the Horde whereas High Elves and Blood Elves are in the Alliance and Horde respectively.

Another reason to cut down the millennium in length: that would have justified him still being in his honeymoon phase with X'era, but not so lost in the sauce that it isn't believable that he'd move on quickly once someone pointed out her flaws.

He basically doesn't feel like the same character--nor does he look the part, either, since he's still wearing armor so gaudy that nobody transmogs the equivalent player sets--which makes it all the more jarring that they're trying to lean so hard on WC2 for him in Midnight.
