Like "add 1 fairy monster that lists counter trap in its text" or something. And that still doesn't work because some counter fairy related cards don't actually list counter trap like power angel or harvest angel. Plus the deck is sort of fused together with heralds, parshath and sanctuary in the sky as well.
The decks biggest issue is that you just have to pray you open well. There's zero consistency.

Assuming the chain is effect->bounce->imperm, its because the card was never changed from the face up state. So even though it removed from the field, it was still face up when it was negated even when bouncing.
Meanwhile when its flipped facedown it functionally "forgets" that it was negated because its no longer face up.

Yep, this inherently helps Swordsoul even without Albaz.
It rotates both Mo Ye and Taia during the same turn, helping you setup Tenyi GY effects when normally you wouldn't, and then it just gives you a free Ecclesia every following turn.

And yet the deck is kinda shitty because the main monsters are still pretty mediocre.
The new synchro most likely won't do they any good, it's not end board monsters that they're lacking.

Blue-Eyes is very strong in Genesys, what are you talking about? You can, through a disruption, frequently end on 3-4 interruptions, and a crazy amount of follow up. Going second you have plenty of tools to force plays through, with Drillbeam specifically being a fantastic maindeck board breaker, and you have the points for several handtraps. Either first or second, grind game with Tyrant + Traps, including Dragon's Mind, Drillbeam, and Ultimate Fusion into towers gives you plenty of ways to out muscle the most common decks.
Can you post your list, and then some gameplay footage and some specific match-up notes where you've found you're having trouble? The more specific you can be the most we can actually assess what you're doing wrong.

I've probably averaged 3-1 at locals with this and maybe 60-65% winrate online.
Deck has a lot of normal summons, knowing which one is best turn 1 is important. Sage is very frequently used for his discard effect on Maiden, rather than as a normal, so it's between Beryl and Kaibaman most frequently.
Trade In is a flex slot, you could play Cosmic or something instead, but I find the synergy with Kaibaman + Jet worth it.

I think they’re giving Swordsoul Sargas or a new Ecclesia or maybe both to replace Longyuan and preserve the Swordsoul names in the deck.

The albaz in the alt art showed him wielding a springans and a swordsoul at the same time. Plus, the only good main deck swordsouls you will find in swordsoul are Taia and Golden Swordsoul, as the draw and token from Mo Ye is way more rng if they don’t make more swordsoul monsters.

Albaz isn’t like Medius in that he wants to summon the power patron in the deck and stick to that only, his biggest combos tend to summon Ecclesia twice, which is very beneficial for Dogmatika, but lacks an effective target in other builds. I have noticed that in alot of the combos,

Branded had six episodes to go through half of its currently told story. And Albaz was 100% made to change the Fallen of Albaz engine for the better with a level 8 extra deck lock. That it does seem to be missing pieces when you test it up. The most complete engine I have seen of it is in Dogmatika.

I beat Odion a lot, I'm like 45-55 against VS, 50/50ish vs Lunalight, positive winrates against Exosister and Artmage and Red Dragon Archfiend. Plenty of other actual garbage decks that I beat most of the time. I've been VFD locked more than I'd like though so that's a challenging match-up :D
I don't think you've actually tried BE in Genesys, based on what you've said. I assume you have no results to share. I don't think it's the best deck, or even top 5 (probably not top 10), but it's good enough to play and take me to a 60-75% winrate so I have to say it's variable in the format if it's how someone has fun.

Finally got around to trying out the new Branded structure deck. I'm quite impressed with it. I'm just using a deck made up of three copies of the structure, and I can do end boards likes this. Got both the new quickplay spell and Branded Retribution set, and can summon the Stigmata-Devouring Dragon on my opponent's turn with it's full towers effect live. This is a good deal for budget players. The only thing I don't like about the new structure is that fact it doesn't come with any extra deck Despia monsters, so I can't take full advantage of Granguignol's GY effect.
